Dr. Barrett R Tolley

I recently had my wisdom teeth extracted at Dr. Tolley's office. The initial consultation left me feeling very confident and comfortable with having the procedure done there. My overall experience was exactly the opposite. After waiting almost two and a half hours after my scheduled surgery time, I was given the instruction to call the office back if I needed any refills or experienced any abnormal pain after the estimated 3 days. After almost a week of unbearable, EXCRUCIATING pain, the doctor finally saw me, and sent me away after 5 minutes with the instructions "keep it more clean" and a stronger prescription. Not to mention I was never given the proper tools to keep my incisions clean. Nearing two weeks of the pain, the office denied me of an x-ray, and completely ruled out "dry socket". I was then informed that the doctor would be gone for two weeks, and would "maybe" be available to see me. Had I known this I would never had scheduled an appointment with him in that time frame. I had no other choice but to see a different doctor, and get a second opinion. The second office I saw was appalled, and immediately treated me for dry socket. The pain was resolved almost immediately, leaving the post-operative appointment at Dr. Tolley's office, pointless. I have received no phone calls from his office since, and upon cancelling my post-op appointment, was not asked for any reason why, and if I would like to reschedule. I do not doubt Dr. Tolley's surgical skills, nor would I rule him a bad doctor. However, I was treated more as a customer, and not a patient by him and his staff.

Over the period of 8 months I have called Dr. Tolley's office staff around 100 times. Each time I was talked down to, put off, told lies and generally disrespected. I had two surgery dates that were both cancelled the day before because the office just was too lazy to put in the paperwork on time. I was told they talked to my insurance company, was assured multiple times and turns out, they lied and have had no contact with them. Lazy, dishonest and rude would be the three words I would use to describe them. It took me 1 month of calling three times a week to get a single appointment. They then proceeded to melt the molds of my teeth and then neglect to call me and tell me the molds needed to be done again. I spent months trying to get my surgery scheduled before they said Oh. Well. You have to get this done again because we messed up. Please. Save yourself some sanity and just go to a different doctor. I wish I could go back in time 8 months and tell myself that.

Where to begin? Patient with Dr Tolley for over a year preparing for maxillofacial surgery. Receptionist is rude to the point of condescending. It is a revolving door with doctor's assistants. Each one seems to be worse than the last. No one ever returns a phone call. Scheduled for surgery twice but both cancelled because doctors office couldn't seem to fill out the necessary paperwork for authorization to insurance. Dr Tolley might be a good doctor but I'll never know because his support staff don't do their jobs. Looking for a new doctor to take over my care.

Never follows up with patients, hard to make commitments to time frames. Left us hanging.... numerous times

His staff is excellent! He is great at what he does and even though he is usually very busy I do not mind waiting as long as I know Im going to be seen by a GOOD doctor!

I was referred by my co-worker to Dr. Tolley because I needed my wisdom teeth extracted. I was very pleased with my experience. He took the time to answer all my questions at the consult and put me at ease prior to my surgery. The entire office was friendly and very helpful. Great office. Will definitely go back if I need oral surgery again.

Had a difficult situation in my mouth, Dr. Tolley took the time to explain everything, he put me at ease. When I had my procedure, my experience was comfortable and my result was excellent. Very happy, wish I could make him my general dentist.
