Surgery Decision After much research and deliberation, I have decided not to proceed with the gum surgery we discussed at my last dental appointment. My reasons are the general condition of my overall health and the discomfort resulting from the procedure. Please continue to schedule regular cleanings as needed. As a first time patient in all healthcare facilities I've been to, this was my first problematic experience. Going to the office it has a nice clean comfortable space and the staff was friendly. I arrived at the office 5 minutes prior to my appointment (which I scheduled 6 weeks in advance) where I was told to sit and wait and have someone meet me shortly. Not a problem. I sat there ten minutes after my scheduled appointment to be told that their systems were down and someone was working on it. Okay, not a problem. Then twenty more minutes passed and my patience began diminishing. Two more patients arrived and were told the same issue the faculty was facing. Before I said anything to the staff, a mother of one of the patient's who came after my arrival was curious as to why her son couldn't just get his teeth cleaned. One of the staff members stated that x-rays and other requirements needed to be performed before the cleaning. Out of frustration I just left the office. I understand that issues such as these come up every once in a while, which is completely fine to me. I find myself to be a very understanding person, which is why I waited as long as I did, but I took time out for an appointment I waited over a month for only to sit in an office for disappointment. I was not happy :(
