Dr. Glen Allistar Fung

Please please don't go to Dr. Fung. In 2005 I went for a general check up and cleaning. Dr. Dalton gave me two crowns on my right side, which I did not need. They had a student who had no formal training, education or license push down on my right jaw. I ended up with a lot of pain and discomfort. When I brought it up to Dr. Dalton she had Dr. Fung look at it, he put this huge mouth bite in my mouth and was trying to stretch my left side. The manager was very rude and Dr. Dalton told me I could not come back to their office anymore. I had to go see TMJ specialist, get physical therapy and pay out of pocket and now I wear mouth guard at night. Last year I had to go get a root canal on the upper right side. I have trouble sleeping at nights. I saw a TMJ specialist who did a panoramic x-ray, he said my right side of face, my jaw is 1/4" lower. My whole facial structure changed because of their negligence and carelessness and hunger for money. The staff and Dr. Dalton and Dr. Fung Do not care about the wellbeing of the patient. My family who is a dentist told me to not ever go to them and also she said I did not needed the crowns. So please before you go to see a dentist make sure to do your research and don't trust their false diagnosis or recommendations. Get a 2nd opinion, wait it out-don't do it on the same day because they will rush u to do the procedure on the same day. Think it through, research the recommendation, get a 2nd opinion. If I had a cracked tooth they could have put gold or silver covering instead of grinding my teeth down and putting the crown. The crown is big, bulky, not your own natural teeth and gets sensitive when water or food particles go underneath. Dentistry is not regulated by the dental board of California. Do not just trust any dentist. They should have given me the options to cover my teeth with gold or silver instead of crowns. I found this out from my family member who is a dentist. Most of the times u can have cracked tooth and u don't need to do anything as long as it doesn't bothers you. Once they take your money and they damage your teeth or jaw they will not even talk to you nor try to resolve the issue.

I have an issue with grinding my teeth and have had 3 crowns put 8n in Thousand oaks and all of those dentists accepted what my insurance would pay for a crown. All were very good dentists one in Thousand Oaks 2 of them in Westlake village. I showed up for my appointment today and Dr Fung wanted an additional $495.00 over what my insurance would cover. I told them to forget it I'll go back to my old dentist.

Super expensive does not mean the best!
