Dr. Hai Que Xa

Dr. Xa and his staff are the BEST EVER! I have gone to Starbrite for almost 15 years now; my whole family goes to Starbrite, my neighbors go to Starbrite Dental as well. If anyone ever asks me if I know a good dentist, I tell them, "no, I know a GREAT DENTIST"! The office is beautiful and relaxing. Dr. Xa and his staff are caring, professional and it is like seeing old friends every time I go. The receptionist and most of the staff have been with Dr. Xa for 15 years. I have extremely sensitive teeth and get a little wound up when I have to go to the dentist. However, I have never had any pain with any treatment at Starbrite ( i've had everything from fillings to root canals.). I leave every appointment thinking "Wow, that was so easy! I can't believe I'm done already!" Dr. Xa's work is excellent. My son is away at college, his girlfriend is pre-dental. She talked him into being a "patient" in the student practice - every staff member and multiple professors came over and commented on what excellent dental work my son has (all from Dr. Xa) - they even filmed some of it to show student examples. Dr. Xa is very conservative and always goes with the least invasive, most effective treatment. He and his staff and are always very conscious of costs and I always leave feeling like I got an amazing deal for top quality work. Starbrite Dental is not a "dental factory" where they push patients in and out of the chair - at Starbrite, Dr. Xa and his staff do whatever it takes for the best result for each patient and spend all the time needed to care for a patient. My brother is autistic and has always had a hard time going to the dentist. The dentists that were recommended for special needs clients all wanted to sedate him - he has very bad reactions to drugs so I didn't want to do that. I took a chance and brought him to Dr. Xa. My brother didn't even get nervous, he was so relaxed he fell asleep a little and this is after a cleaning and having a tooth pulled. Starbrite Dental is amazing, I wish there were 10 stars I could give! I highly recommend them.

Very Very quick. I was seen before I could fill out any paperwork. Xray and wisdom tooth pulled in under 15 min from walking in door. Problem was he said very little. I told him it still hurt he gave me some more stuff to numb it, then in one motion even though I said it still hurt he ripped it out. I screamed. I have had my other three wisdom teeth pulled out individually by three different dentists, including a 45 min removal without so much of a peep. This was a horrible experience. He did not say sorry or even goodbye. He just left. I was left alone in the chair. I began to sweat a lot. I dropped the clipboard when things became dizzy. I removed my top shirt and sat for like 15 min. I thought I was going to need an ambulance. It was not until the ride home that my face really started to feel numb. He should have waited or even injected the stuff better because I did not even feel the needle enter my gum. I'm worried all they did was squirt the stuff in my tooth and not deep in my gum. So if you want quick and don't care about pain and want to feel not like a person go here he is really quick. No one asked if I was allergic to anything, I never even got to fill out the paperwork or health section until after I was done. My insurance covered it all so they billed more to the insurance company than they told me it would cost. I don't think I have ever been more freaked out in an office before. It felt very wrong from start to finish. He didn't even use the suction thing, just one tool and said I will feel pressure and some pain. Lady in front wrote my prescription and never even got the dentist that saw me sign anything. With all the corner cutting I fear just how clean everything was. It looked clean, but one never knows. They billed my insurance 90 bucks for 10 seconds of work for his part. They had told me that type of extraction would be only 20 over phone.
