Dr. Michael Matthias created his practice to perform excellent dentistry in a comfortable, friendly environment. His passion for dentistry led him to Temple Dental School in 1989. Dr. Matthias’ attention to detail and desire for excellence allows his patients not only the chance to maintain or gain dental health but also to achieve the smile of their dreams.Dr. Matthias’ job is to evaluate your mouth and make sure YOU understand all the options and levels of treatment so you can choose the best plan. After graduating from Trinity High School in 1985, he continued his education and received an Associate of Arts in Chemistry in 1987 from Harrisburg Area Community College
and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Delaware in 1989. In 1993, he graduated from Temple University School of Dentistry with a Doctor of Medical Dentistry. In 1994, he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (A.E.G.D) residency at Temple.In August 2001, Dr. Matthias earned the distinction of Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. This award recognized his 500 hours of continuing education and Dr. Matthias’ successful completion of a 6-hour comprehensive dental exam in all aspects of Dentistry. He completed 600 more hours of continuing education as well as specific hands-on procedures to be awarded "Mastership" status in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2006 and became one of only 1,600 dentists worldwide to achieve this distinction.
