Dr. Sheerin Yusuf

This was the third root canal Dr Yusuf performed, all three were painfree. She knows what she's doing. The price is not cheap....as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. I highly recommend her. I would add a root canal is not something you want a low cost option on.

I saw Dr Yusuf today for a consultation on two teeth. One needed an extraction and the other a root canal. When she came into the room, she never sat down and she took a sharp pointed instrument and started jabbing around the teeth. Not a light poking, which I would have been ok with. At this point I made up my mind that she would probably not be very gentle or caring. The assistant came in for me to sign the estimate paperwork (which was great $683) but I told her I wasn’t signing anything. I got out of there ASAP. I will search for another Endo to do my root canal.

Dr, Yusuf adds extra charges that are supposed to be included in the service of Giving a Root Canal. She insists on injecting an antibiotic in the tooth while performing a Root Canal that she elects to tack on an extra charge. Additionally, she does not honor the patients co-pay, nor does she inform the patient of the significant increase to the cost of performing a Root Canal prior to the patient meeting the assigned appointment. As a result, she refused to see me prior to receiving approximately $160.00 more than the quote that was given to me three weeks prior to the appointment. As a result, I was not seen for a Root Canal service that I have been trying to get scheduled for over 6 months. She would not try to assist me to receive the service, as she would not allow me to pay installment payments, even though she failed to notify me that she did not accept the co-pay of $40.00 from my insurance provider. She is apparently in the field for money. Further, please know that I am aware that any professional should receive compensation for their services, but she tends to go overboard as if she is striving to be a millionaire within the next five years. Lastly, she performed a Root Canal Treatment on me previously, and it was one of the worst Root Canal Treatments that I have experienced in life. She injects the numbing agent to rapidly, as a result, she inflicts pain on the patient. Overall, she is a poor dentist and needs to back to school to study proper injections techniques. I also would like to note that I doubt very seriously that she is adequately prepared all of the services that she claims on her website. Please remember the old saying, "A Jack of all Trades and a Master of None. Stay away from her, if at all possible.

She is professional and knowledgeable. She has performed 2 root canals on me with no issues.

I had a root canal done by Dr. Yusuf at Coast Dental in Woodstock. She and her assistant Calandra did a very professional excellent job. They were nice, courteous and helpful. I would recommend here highly to anyone that needs an endodontist, Thanks Dr. T. Mattson

My regular dentist could not diagnose the cracked tooth. Dr. Yusuf very accurately diagnosed and treated the tooth. The whole experience was good. Will always go to this doctor for any root canals.

4 weeks ago Dr. Sharonperformed the first part of my root canal. The following day after spending several hours outdoors at my house I had a severe attack of heat stroke. Initially I thought I had had an allergic reaction to a bee sting. At my follow-up appointment with my doctor we discovered that the antibiotic she had inserted during the root canal contained doctocyclene. This antibiotic should have had a warning from her directly to me to stay out of the sun. Not only did she not send home any information concerning the root canal medicine EMTAD along a warning to stay out of the sun, she also did not have any idea what was included in this medicine when I confronted her two weeks later at the conclusion of my procedure. At this point we are not pressing charges however even the cost of the ambulance and the ER is extensive. I do not understand why a dentist would perform this procedure and not warn her patients of the risks of the medicines administered.

Money grubber, uncaring, liar.

Dr. Sheerin Yusuf has a VERY bad practice. She will do double appointments for the same hour and will also take a third person to â??see/treatâ?? in the same time! I did an appointment two weeks ago and ask for the very 1st appointment as I had a meeting after that. The appointment was for 8:30 am and I was there by 8 am sharp, the very first person to walk in. I had all my papers downloaded and filled already and I was take inside the cabinet around 8:30. After a short 10 min visit with Dr. Sheerin Yusuf, she told me to wait. And then I wait for another one hour. In meantime Dr. Sheerin Yusuf treat another men and another women that both come after me. When I asked why it happened that way, I was told that they â??doubleâ?? book every hour â?? how that is possible, is that legal? I was also told that that morning, my luck, the dr. was also late. Do you charge me and another person for the same hour visit but you actually spend with each half of time? Not only that, but after she treats the men she start to work on another lady that was there. And Iâ??m still waiting!!! Unbelievable!!! Never heard something like that before. I guess this is the kind of customer respect and appreciation that one will aspect from Dr. Sheerin Yusuf and Coast Dental. Donâ??t recommend at ALL. They should pay me for those two weeks and all this time wasted, as now I need to book another appointment, NOT will Coast Dental for sure and wait probably another two weeks.
