Dr. Shannon M. Rush is an exceptional surgeon who serves clients from California, Nevada, Oregon, and New Mexico. He has been an expert in performing complex ankle and foot reconstruction for two decades. Dr. Rush has extensive experience in detailed primary and revision ankle and foot conditions. He is dedicated in this mission to help his patients regain their mobility, freedom and be able to enjoy a pain-free, active lifestyle.He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology with a Biology minor from the University of the Pacific. His interest in his current profession originated from his football career in college. Not only did Dr. Rush receive his varsity letter in football, but he also sustained numerous foot and ankle injuries. This resulted in a change of focus in his studies.Dr. Rush started medical school at the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco. Afterward, he successfully completed his surgical residency at Providence Seattle Medical Center.
This was followed by a fellowship in Dresden, Germany, where he further honed his expertise in foot and ankle trauma and reconstruction. He has completed many research publications and has made contributions to textbooks focused on topics related to his career field. Dr. Rush has given more than 300 lectures nationally and internationally on ankle surgery and joint replacement. Dr. Shannon M. Rush has trained and mentored foot and ankle surgery fellows for 12 years. He currently serves as an adjunct professor of Surgery and Trauma at the California School of Podiatric Medicine. Here are some key facts about this eminent surgeon:Dr. Rush maintains board certification in Foot and Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery with the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He was certified in 2002 and recertified in 2011.He has served as an educator to other surgeons teaching the most innovative surgical techniques in ankle replacement.  Dr. Rush has successfully performed ankle joint replacement procedures since 2002.  He also served as Faculty Chair for more than 100 surgical courses.
