Dr Shepherd provides excellent care including discussing any questions or concerns we have. We have the utmost confidence in his abilities, knowledge and patient-centered approach.

I took my daughter to Dr. Shepherd for a toenail infection. I was impressed and later sought treatment for my feet. Following a couple visits (over the course of a few YEARS!) I had bunion surgery.. (5/10/24) because I felt comfortable and confident in my podiatrist. Recovery has been difficult because as Dr. Shepherd told me the first few days "you will be pretty miserable." He is accurate. He also responded to a call from my husband (on Mother's Day) related to my pain levels. Dr. Shepherd provided needed information and reassurance. (Being my "nurse" is a very difficult task lol.) Dr. Shepherd takes his time, and answers all my questions. I have felt very comfortable and confident with his treatment. He is patient, calm and thorough. He assesses, gives options and let's me make the decision. I have seen 3 other podiatrists in LC. I recommend.

Doctor Shepherd is the best, such excellent bedside manners. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you are made to feel welcome.

Dr Shepherd has been my doctor for several years now. I’ve had three foot surgeries over in Alamogordo and I can’t say enough good things about the staff there and in Las Cruces.They are all very friendly and efficient. Dr. Shepherd is very compassionate and professional yet makes you feel comfortable like you’re talking to an old friend. He has done some serious surgeries on my feet and I would recommend him to anyone!
