Dr. Amir S Azer, MD

I went to see Dr. Azer about a toenail fungus. He took a clipping and sent it off to a laboratory to verify that it was a fungus. It seemed very obvious to me that it was a fungus. It was very flaky and white, but he insisted that we test it anyway. I was concerned about the cost of the test and wanted to make sure that it would be covered by my insurance. They said they understood my billing concerns and they would call me if it was going to be very expensive. About 4 months later, I received a bill. The total cost was >$5,000, and I was billed >$800. I feel like it they're going to run such expensive tests, they really should let you know first. This was not the first issue I had with this doctor. I have many more complaints, but this was the final straw. I will never go to this doctor again. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone.
