Dr. Kern Singh, MD

1 Star for the office décor, No Stars for Mr. Singh. Kern Singh is an arrogant, dismissive individual. Waited 1 week for a 3 minute dismissal from an Indian scammer who probably made $750.00 from Blue Cross/Blue Shield to tell me he found "nothing objective". No courtesy, no care, no questions. He then tells me to talk to my primary physician regarding "pain management" after I told Kern that I have taken over 170 pills in 13 days. He is an insurance scammer hell-bent on churning the system. Reminds me of the Patels. Singh has NO empathy, and I would not recommend him to anyone. Find another doctor and DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. He should be reported to the AMA and I will leave a similar review when asked by Rush.

Dr. Singh didn’t bother to make an appearance at my appointment. I suppose that would be fine if the follow up care/referrals promised were provided. I have received no follow up care/communications since my appointment despite the online tools used by this office to facilitate the appointment. Not sure what’s next so I guess I have to look for another provider. They efficiently collected my copay though. Disappointing for sure.

I received exceptional care from Dr. Singh and his team. He is not only a brilliant surgeon, but a kind and patient physician. I met him after 5 years of frustrating pain from cervical spinal stenosis - bouncing from doctor to doctor to doctor, searching for help. He was a breathe of fresh air and took the time to listen to me. He explained why my spine would not improve without surgery, and recommended a much less invasive procedure than other surgeons who wanted to fuse my spine. The morning of my surgery, he even popped over to see me, with a smile, a fist bump and a “Let’s do this!” This extra effort put me at ease. I’m pleased to say my surgery was successful and only weeks after surgery, I’m living again! I am beyond grateful to Dr. Singh and would absolutely recommend him to anyone who needs spine surgery.

went to see Dr. Singh due to spinal stenosis in my lumbar region. I had had spinal fusion surgery 5 to 6 years ago from another surgeon with a more "traditional" type of back surgery. Last year I needed another spinal fusion at the level above. I chose Dr. Singh because of his minimally invasive procedures, and recovery time. Dr. Singh and his minimally invasive procedures were the way to go! Dr. Singh, and all his staff were nothing but kind, professional, and very attentive to all my questions as well as follow up visits! I have nothing but good things to say about this man and his staff. I did not choose him because of his "bedside manner". .. though it was great!!! I chose him because he was the BEST at what he does! And I did not want to experience another back surgery that took me at least a full 1-2 years to fully recover! I was back to work as an occupational therapist in less than 8 weeks!!! Sometimes I forget I even had back surgery at all!

Arrogant crook who lines his pocket with insurance company money.Stay away from this phony.

My surgery with Dr. Kern was the best decision I’ve made. I suffered from back pain for years with many failed treatments. Dr. Kern knew immediately what was wrong, and 7 weeks post surgery I am 90% pain free! His team was amazing!

My wife and I met with Dr. Singh to review my MRI that I had done on my lower back/spine. I was referred to Dr. Singh by one of his Midwest Orthopedic colleagues. While I have no issues at all with his diagnosis of the MRI, I was appalled by his arrogance. Further, his demeanor was condescending, insulting, dismissive, and frankly rude. It was clear from his comments that he felt like I was wasting his time. When I asked what might be causing the years of pain in my back, hip and left leg, his response was basically to “suck it up and work on your core.” At one point during our very brief visit, Dr. Singh insulted my wife and I by asking in a very sarcastic tone if we knew what a meteorologist was. He was using it as a metaphor to disparage radiologists that do the initial reading of MRIs. In all my years of healthcare management for myself and my family, I have never overtly been treated so poorly by anyone. While he may be an outstanding surgeon, he is severely lacking in common decency and respect for his patients. Having seen several other reviews like mine, it is clear that Midwest Orthopedics isn’t concerned about their brand and patient care. Making money is obviously much more important than having someone like Dr. Singh continually mistreat patients. I can’t think of any other business or profession where someone would be allowed to act like this.

I researched and met with 2 docs. SIngh is arrogant and flippant. He bragged about his 9 surgeries that morning and I asked if he does the whole surgery open to close? He said, “no surgeon closes…he does” pointing to one of his PAs. Well, not true. The Dr at Northwestern spent 1 hour with me, versus this guy’s 2-3 minutes, and he absolutely does the whole surgery start to finish. While it appears he has skill from reviews, his lack of manners is unpleasant at the least, and I for one, prefer the person I hire for surgery to do the whole surgery. His arrogance was completely off putting. Since it’s a business, and I get to do the hiring? He isn’t getting the job. I personally feel he’s a poor image for Rush’s brand. Coming from a family of doctors, the way this guy acts is embarrassing. Go see for yourself!

This is the most corrupt under the table money taking doctor on the planet.All worker comp insurance companies use him to lie and say the patient is fine-when if you paid and went to see him it would be a different outcome.I have talked with several peopl including myself that have seen him total scam.He should lose his license or be arrested.

Always goes against the worker. No matter how much pain they are in. Only cares about the money. Had no integrity. Stay far away if you have a IME

after seeing 2 doctors before DR Singh, I knew within minutes I was in good hands. I had 2 bad discs c5-c6 c6-c7...….surgery went flawless,,,,,pain gone.....he gave me my life back,,,,,,,Dr Singh and his team are the best

I felt that the care that Dr Kern Singh provided was very poor. I scheduled a couple of appointments for Dr Singh at Rush. I was never actually allowed to meet the doctor, even though asking to see him multiple times. Unfortunately, I was offered no new treatment than I had previously received despite being in a lot of pain. It was only after seeing another doctor and actually having a treatment plan put together that I received any relief and was able to make progress in my recovery. That didn't stop his office from running up thousands in bills. This would be the last doctor I would ever see.

I was very optimistic when it came to back surgery.Dr Singh and his team made it so comfortable for me to make the right decision. 4 weeks out of surgery and I feel great.My pain is gone.Thank you Dr Singh and medical staff for giving me mobility and my life back

Waited over two hours and without seeing me returned me to work and said I'm at maximum medical improvement when I can hardly walk, stand, or sit. Avoid this liar!

Spent less than 5 minutes with me. Would have been 3 but I asked questions which he didn’t answer. Dr. Singh was only interested in whether I had an atty. Released me for work even though I was having severe nerve issues & neck pain. Lied on report stating an accociate was in the exam room with us which was an out right lie. Did no exam and have no idea what he based release on.

This provider is someone everyone should fear in the aspect of not having their patients best interest. He values money and surgical skill Verses his patients fully understanding the need for the surgery and or making sure all other options are reviewed. He needs more training when it comes to dealing with people from ALL WALKS OF LIFE... Dr Singh You Suck Sir, do better and prove that your training for those years wasn't a complete waste. Take value in being/becoming a good provider

Dr Singh is the best in his feild . I am myself an Endodontist and understand the kind of work he Performs is very challenging but after having dealt with few others I found the best and he has some extra ordinary talent . I recommend him HIGHLY.

I saw Dr. Sing and his team because my employer wanted another opinion. He was the companies doctor. He went over my records and examined me and my attorney got the report. Dr. Sing agreed with my surgery! I can say him and his team were great. I read reviews that he always says no to surgery but that is NOT true! thank you

I flew in from Naples florida and had my minimally invasive low back fusion done on a friday. Was back at home on monday! i feel amazing like a new Tiger Woods. Its only been 4 weeks and I cant wait to get on the course again. Its been 15 years of chronic pain. Dr. singh and his team were outstanding. I know at least 15 other patients he has treated from the SW Florida area and all are feeling great!
