I saw him one year ago after my first stroke, he was a little blunt so I blew his suggestions off. Then I had another stroke 5 months ago. After rehab release I saw him again and been following his orders. I'm doing better now than in 15 years!

Would highly recommend!!!

i had to wait 6 months for my first appointment. he sent me for a brain mri, and was suppose to also send me for blood work after he reviewed my file. i never recieved any lab orders. my follow up appointment was for 4 months later, but after two months they called to say they double booked, so they had to put my appointment even futher away, a total of 6 months from the first appointment. then the day before my appointment, i got a call saying dr heide was no longer with the practice and i would have to schedule an appointment with a different doctor. i wonder, how long had he been gone?? why did they wait till the day before to tell me?? i have waisted a whole year on this doctor. and i still do NOT have the results of my brain MRI. some of these may not have been the fault of Dr Heide, but he still has a responsibility to his patients... even if he leaves, a courtesy letter would have been nice. and at least the written report of my MRI results! and still.... what happen to the labs i was suppose to have done? one more thing, after he left the room on the first appointment, an assistant came in with a paper saying for me to not have any caffiene again, forever, with zero explaination as to why. like i said, i wasted a year on this doc. and still have zero results. =[

Appreciate his honesty.

I have spent many many hours with this man. Life saver! You just have to be patient. I know he runs at least 2 offices in 2 different states thus is why appointment times are so hard to get and so important to keep. I would recommend him to anyone.

If you want a doctor that cares about you this is the doctor for you. I think some doctors seem to just go threw routine. Dr Hiede honestly cares and goes beyond. I hope you choose him for your care you won't be sorry

I have never been so angry at a doctor! The way he treats his staff is horrible, no wonder they don't return calls. It must be extremely difficult for him to keep anyone working for him. I personally witnessed him bring his assistant-receptionist to tears (she was trying to relay a request a patient's family had made.) It was disgusting to watch. I think he actually enjoyed making her feel bad! Getting on the hospital board at Valley Medical Center was a creative move on his part to keep from being fired. He is the egotistical, no bedside manner doctor you see on TV or movies.

We like the doctor personally and respect his expertise but VERY hard to get hold of his office with a problem or get phone calls returned. Staff needs more training perhaps?

Dr Heide was very helpful.

When u went to fill prescriptions, my pharmacist told me that the starting dose prescribed hard high potential to harm me. Also, one reacted with another one I took (wrote all my meds on form in office).Don't bother to call office. No one will call you back. Also, you'll have to wait over a month (typically more) to get an appt. and if you are five minutes late, you lose your appt and they'll try to (squeeze) you in. If they can SQUEEZE you in, you may wait for hours. If not, you are rescheduled and may have to wait for a few more Weeks.When you do get in to see him, you feel like you are a Nascar in a pit stop. Not the way you want a brain illness diagnosed. He'd be good if he read up on drugs and how to prescribe, thinned his schedule, and hired a competent staff.

Dr. Heide knows his stuff and is a qualified Dr, but his badside manner is not very good. I always felt very rushed when at my appointments and was pretty insensitive. He will get the job done, but if you can find another neurologist I would look into them.

Horrible communication, very disorganized office, I would be very leary of a doctor who seems to be so unhappy with his office and the medical field in general. He said to me, "If I could shut these doors (to the office) right now I would." Sounds like someone who should reconsider his career choice.

Referred to him by mt mother's primary care doctor and we couldn't be happier. Dr Heide has approached my mother as a complete patient and not just a "body part" that he specializes in. Even tho we went to him for an analysis of a MRI, he was concerned with her high cholesterol and her erratic heart beat and set up us for tests, precedures and follow-up appointments for all her issues quickly and easily.

I don't usually leave remarks with reviews because I assume no-one bothers to take the time to read them (so why should I waste my time writing them?), however after stumbling upon the only review for Dr Aaron Heide on file with this site I just have to have my say! Oh my goodness, whoever left the previous review on Dr Heide had a complete and utter opposite experience with him than I have had. I have always, ALWAYS found Dr Heide to be absolutely WONDERFUL! I met Dr Heide in the ER about four years ago when I was admitted there because I suddenly lost the ability to walk. I had been examined by a hundred other doctors in the ER that day and no-one had the slightest idea what to make of my symptoms; they'd all just give me confused, scared looks and tell me they had no idea what was going on (and, wow, nothing is more scary than scaring a bunch of ER doctors!). But then they brought in Dr Heide and not only did he quickly diagnose my bizarre ailment correctly, but he did so in a way that made me feel like I was definitely in capable hands. Whenever he was there discussing my test results and plans for my treatment, the whole frightening situation felt manageable. I found Dr Heide to be brilliant, very caring and quite the comedian when the mood got a bit morbid (never thought I'd find myself laughing on my way into emergency spinal surgery! Go figure). I've been in Dr Heide's care for four years now. Thanks to him, I'm up and walking again and living a normal life. I couldn't ever possibly thank him enough! He has kept me healthy and motivated and I would absolutely recommend his care wholeheartedly. After all this time, I still find Dr Heide to be a wonderful doctor, fantastically brilliant, very energetic (he kind of reminds me of Tigger!), extremely intuitive (I swear sometimes he can read my mind! I'm still trying to figure out how the heck he does that!), and, just like when I first met him, always hilarious! No disrespect meant to the last reviewer, but perhaps he/she just sorely lacks a sense of humor I suppose?
