Dr. Aaron Bruce Weinberg, MD

I actually have to agree with the previous comment. This guy has a very condescending attitude. He also does not what he said in previous visits and seems to spitball. Everything seems very rushed, I hate assembly line "medicine", get them in and get them out. He was highly recommended by an associate doctor but I think it's time to find another retina specialist. As for his staff, most were very nice but one was a complete nightmare.

Very condescending. Barely spoke to me or asked me any questions about my symptoms or history. I brought him MRIs and lab results from other MDs and he through the folder on a chair without even looking at them. Then he became irritated when I asked questions, threw open the door and told me the exit was to the left. Would NOT recommend him to ANYONE!

When I sat in the room and waited for “my” doctor to come in, I was traumatized. To hear I had a detached retina I was a shock. In walked this extraordinarily (old timey) very professional physician. This will sound vain and shallow, but his clothing and demeanor screamed to me this is the doctor I want. Anyone who plays this attention to detail in his own persona will extend this to his patients. He explained my condition in minute detail. He put me at ease and I trusted him immediately knowing he would restore my vision. Leap at the chance to have Dr. Weinberg as your surgeon. He is excellent.

I have experienced two retinal tears which were corrected using a laser procedure. Dr Weinberg has successfully stopped the tear from developing any further and has saved my vision in my eye.

Dr. Weinberg saved my mothers' eye site. When I first called with the symptoms, he arranged to see her that very day, as it was important to see her immediately due to her symptoms. He is current with all the newest treatments and procedures. He explains thoroughly (in a kind way). I highly recommend Dr. Weinberg.

The woman who did the pre-screening exam was verbally abusive to the senior citizen I assisted with the appointment. Unbelievable. The doctor needs to review his staff.

Dr. Weinberg did surgery because of a botched vitrectomy (by a retinologist in Florida) and saved my husband's eyesight. Now back in Florida and seen by a local ophthalmologist, we are told what a fantastic job was done in the correction. We both highly recommend Dr. Weinberg. He is fastidious, exemplary, and technically above the rest (in my opinion)....

Dr Weinberg is an excellent doctor. He is always willing to go that extra mile to find some way to help you. My husband has been a patient of his for 18 years.

Dr. Weinberg is kind, gentle, lets me cry if I need to. Doesn't rush me. Will explain everything twice if necessary. Weighs the options aloud and lets me have a voice in my treatment. My only complaint is that his office is an hour from my home. But I wouldn't stop seeing him because of it.

If it wasn't for Dr. Weinberg I would be blind. His manner can be brusque but you don't choose a DR because he's nice-you choose him because he's good. I would recommend him to anyone in need of eye surgery-you will get the best medical care possible. His blunt honesty took me by (welcome) surprise and it didn't offend me at all. When you're going through a medical crisis that could leave you blind you want honesty. You're not auditioning a new best friend when you choose a DR. I saw a number of other eye DR and he impressed me far more than any of the rest and I sometimes think of Dr Weinberg and I'm always very grateful for his dedication and his skill even if he does come across as kinda crabby.

The only thing that needs to be chnaged is the waiting time. I waitied to be almost an hours to be seen with an appointment. The whole appointment took almost 2.5 hours because they have you wait 20+ mintues after every test.

In 2002,my right eye had a macular hole. Quite by accident, I made an appointment with Dr. Weinberg.He performed surgery and after the recovery period I was able to achieve 20-20 vision with contact lens.Just recently my left eye suffered from two retinal tears and Dr. Weinberg performed laser surgery to repair the tears. He is very competant and I will use his services for any eye related problems. Excellant Doctor!

Doctor was excellent with my 90 year old father. He explained everything with words that were clear (non confusing), spoke directly to my father (and not ignoring him as some doctors do with older patients). He answered all of our questions and gave the options that were possible yet was able to suggest what he would do if it was his eye and/or that of his parent. He has a sense of humor and showed genuine interest in my dad. My dad reads a great deal and lost his eyesight in one eye.- VERY MUCH A CONCERN! We have seen this doctor for over three years and he is always kind and professional.

I had cataract surgery that went wrong and it was during xmas. He was the only game in town and thank G for that. I studied what questions to ask him and he answered each one on the dot. I could have been almost blind, but he is very interested in being technically right. Altho is not the warmest person, I saw him being very nice to an elderly couple when he had been run off his feet because they were lined up to see him. I too thought he was a little cold, but considering I could have been almost blind, I think he did a good job. I had macular edema as far as it would go and he explained in layman's terms very well what that meant.

My father has muscular degeneration and has been going to Doctor Weinberg for over six years now. My mother suffered with the same disease before her death and at that time lived in another state, seeing another doctor. Dr. Weinberg has been far more successful in stopping the deterioration of my fathers eyesight than the doctor my mom went to. He always follows up after the appointment to make sure my dad is comfortable and everything is fine. I would highly recommend him.

I thought I was listening to a commercial or infomersial. the man never made eye contact and dismissed every thing that I said.
