Dr. Adam Jonathan Hedaya, MD

I've had terrible sciatica pain in my right leg for well over a year. Dr. Hedaya suggested a procedure between L4 and L5. My previous pain management Doctor never suggested this. After the procedure, I am pretty much pain free. I can walk without excruciating pain down my leg. Thank you Dr. Hedaya and staff for giving me my life back! Go see Dr. Hedaya for your pain. You will be amazed.

I really tried working with Dr Hedaya and his staff, but became extremely frustrated at the lack of honesty and transparency. The dr himself is friendly and seems to want to help. He encouraged me to switch my insurance in order to get treatment , as the one I had wasn’t “ paying him for approved procedures “. This should have been my RED flag. I had read many reviews about this office “ pushing” injections, and sadly i should have taken heed. After getting the run around multiple times with their “ insurance specialist“ at their office ,who repeatedly filed my claims incorrectly , to the nurse and desk staff who gave me different answers every time I called, my entire experience was dismal. They ended up trying to book another procedure, that “ insurance would probably cover”, but wasn’t going to fully address my medical issue. My advice is to dig a bit, read the other reviews, and if you schedule an appointment, go in with your eyes OPEN. I went somewhere else.

This office only wants your money. They refused to write me a prescription for physical therapy or for pain medication. Their goal is to have you in so much pain you purchase multiple injections. It did not help me at all. I ended up going to an ortho at UH and received a script for therapy. I was better in two weeks vs. the months going to Dr. Mariah Jutte. She does not have any compassion for patients. Go to a surgeon or ortho neck specialist and stay away.

Watch this physician and make sure what you discuss actually occurs! Calamity of errors over the 2 years I was a patient. Lack of communication. Always blamed staff and turn over in office.

New patient had knee pain block which has troubled me for years, immediate relief !!!

Why is he moving again,? I followed him from Norwalk to Westlake and now another move. I'd like to know why.

Went through pain management with Dr. Hedaya. He gave me a prescription for Vicodin that gradually increased as my pain increased. When none of the other treatments worked, such as shots and nerve ablation, then he suggested that I had a chemical dependency problem. I offered to bring my pills in to be counted and he said that they did not do that, when it was right in the contract I signed before treatment that they would count pills if they suspected someone was abusing their medication. Very poor care. I terminated treatment immediately. One of his staff called to see if there was anything they could do. I told them to have Dr. Hedaya call me and he never did.

I’m not sure why a patient would say Dr Hedaya let them quit oxycodone, “cold turkey “? As a new patient (Dr Chahaun left), I’ve been on oxycodone, four, 15 mg a day, For nine years. Since the state is getting it harder and harder to be prescribed, I have been worried. But Dr. Hedaya, put me on Belbuca films, I had no withdrawals whatsoever. I also get epidurals now from him I find his office very professional, helpful, and knowledgeable.

Not recommended if you need attentive pain support. Hedaya is good, but he has high clerical staff turnover & a voluminous client load, so if you are an established patient, getting live phone assistance is rare & they do not return voice mails. Staff does not renew prescriptions in a timely manner, if at all. Untrustworthy in the claim, "We are Here for You". Expect to go it alone should difficulties develop. Hedaya will not prescribe opiates, which in a chronic pain patient, is our only relief to live even a 'quasi normal' life.

This doctor gave me numerous shots in my lower back last summer. I had an MRI and even though the MRI didn't show back issues he still continued to recommend shots. I ended up without back problems but a bad hip that need to be replaced.

I was told by another pain mag doctor that there was nothing more he could do. I would need surgery on my back. Saw Dr. Hedaya and after looking at MRI said he could give me some relief. He has done ablations and I can say that my pain is 90% less then it was. He has a wonderful personality and his staff are all delightful. I am so glad that he was recommended and I went to see him.

I was also a former patient of Dr.Yokiel. I have had three back surgeries and experience daily chronic pain. He understood my pain level and prescribed an opiate med that helped me live a normal life. Dr.H refuses to prescribe those meds. He prescribed another med but due to a pre-authorization which was never sent and no insurance coverage on that med I never received them. I returned for a follow-up and received a different script, again no pre-auth. sent. I understand the opiate crisis in this country but for people like me who use them responsibly and have documented chronic pain, it's a shame we have to suffer for it. Good luck with this doctor if you live in agony and need relief.

I was a Dr. Yokiel patient stranded when Dr. Yokiel abruptly closed his office. Dr Hedaya took over his patients. I was at the end of my rx and needed a refill of it and Dr H couldn't prescribe it, he did write a rx for something that needed preapproval and cost over $ 300.00! I went through cold turkey withdrawals because I could not get anything since I and my pharmacy can't get hold of his office the voice mail box has been full for 4 days now u can't even leave a message now. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DR.!!!!!!

Pushes injections. Hasn't helped my pain. If you have problems between visits, all I can say is good luck.

What a great Dr. Dr Hedaya is extremely knowledgable, compassionate, and he has an outstanding bedside manner! I had an epidural and another injection and it helped tremendously. I am so thankful I found Dr. Hedaya.

Took atleast 6 weeks to see him. Wanted to do procedure to block nerve then was told i would have to pay up front for anesthesia. Next office visit was with nurse practioner instead of himself. Was mislead by nurse who checked me in saying as long as i paid $100 procedure could be done. Then came back in later saying she gave me wrong information. Called several times & left messages on nurse line & got no help. I really needed him to help me but wouldnt give me the time of day!!! I personally think he should've atleast seen me again before pushing me off on someone else. Thanks for nothing Dr. Hedaya & staff, in the time of need i really needed your help but got nothing but a run around!!!

I went to him over the course of 2 years. He pretended to trust what I was saying and then wrote a report that I was misleading him and paranoid. He was disrespectful and often did not follow through on things he said he would do. He is looking for business and will tell you whatever you want to hear.
