Dr. Adebambo Oladele Ojuri, MD

I had an endoscopy with Dr. Ojuri. He did not recognize the ulcer in my stomach but somehow punctured it. I bled internally overnight to the point where my husband had to call an ambulance because I could not get out of bed in the morning and spent 4 days in the hospital. The doctors at the hospital performed another endoscopy and stopped the bleeding. But I bled so much I could barely walk or take care of my children for almost a month. And his office at West Gastroenterology Medical Group refused to even give me my results afterwards or send them to my PCP.

I’m 78 years old and have seen various doctors for decades. For the first time, I decided to write a review to share my experience with this doctor. I’ve never encountered this level unprofessionalism and disregard for a patient as I have with Dr. Ojuri. When he made me wait over an hour (during COVID) for a 10-min consultation, I should’ve already been suspicious of his poor time management. But since he was the doctor my insurance approved, I went ahead and made an appointment. My first appointment for an endoscopy (which requires me to fast before the procedure) was canceled the day before because he was going to be out that day. They rescheduled my endoscopy for the following week. On the day before my second appointment, his office called me again to cancel. I was rescheduled for the third time. Given the history of first two appointments, I decided to give his office a call the day before to confirm if my procedure was still on. I got his answering service, so I left a message to call me back to confirm if my appointment was still good. I didn’t get a call for a cancelation so I assumed it was on and proceeded to fast and prepare for my procedure. I no longer drive so it’s a hassle to get a ride to and from the place. When I arrived on the day of my appointment, I was informed that my name wasn’t on the list for endoscopy that day. No one even bothered to call me the day before! I then decided to Google this doctor to see if my experience was an anomaly. Sure enough, I’m was not alone. The reviews for Dr. Ojuri were overwhelmingly negative. My only regret was not Googling him before making an appointment with him. This doctor wasted almost a month of my time because I now have to start over with another doctor. I just hope this delay hasn’t made my medical problem worse.

I really liked this dr. I would go to him in a flash if he was a primary. He explained my test results and was informative about a surgery i had 8 years ago somewhere else. It was info I should have known back then and now am able to stop a medicine I have been taking! He was humorous, kind, informative, caring.

Dr. Ojuri came into the office, introduced himself and shook my hand. He proceeded to ask me to explain to him why I was there. I explain to him why I was there he listened patiently he was very professional he had no radio, no cell phone. This a very professional man not very talkative he listens that’s what doctors need to do. Based on what I told him he said I needed Endoscopy, a procedure and a CT scan and based on the longevity of my illness that’s exactly what I was expecting to hear. I think many of these reviews are fake and done intentionally to make this doctor look, maybe because he is Black. I’m a good judge of character and I don’t believe for a minute he did what they said he did. Glad I found him.

Dr.Ojuri is a caring, kind man who takes the time to listen to what I have to say, and is a pro at his craft. He asked me what I thought was wrong with me and then we discussed it. I so appreciate him Thank You, Dr. Ojuri~

Seen him once for the initial consult. He is very rude & arrogant. Didn't discuss what could be causing my pain or examine me, wouldn't answer any of my questions. Basically told me I was going to die without having a scan or blood work done. He said my children were adults, they didn't need me anymore and asked if I had life insurance! The office staff was very friendly but I had to rate them low because it gives him a better overall rating and he's not a good doctor. Stay away from him if you can.

I have never had a worse experience with any type of doctor! He was not kind, did not listen to me nor answer my questions. I went in for very real concerns about a disease that I have had for over 15 years and he treated me like I was wasting his time.

This doctor wasn't even there when I got there to his office. I had to wait about 45 minutes to just get into a room and then I waited another 30 minutes for him to come into my room. Just for him to see my five minutes and says i need a procedure. Why would i need a procedure when he just saw me one time. The staff was ok but not too friendly. I had to wait for 3 weeks to see the doctor because they wanted me to see a physician assistant but I have a copay to see the doctor not the physician assistant. I would not recommend, too many people were upset in the office and it was packed.

Great doctor. Was referred by my doctor for abdominal pain, and was expecting to wait very long. I only waited 15 minutes, and saw the doctor who was very nice and professional. The office was very clean and neat. Would go again if I have an issue.

I had endoscopy scheduled with Dr Ojuri.He came into the room and said "hi" and "do you like the music?" then sat down on the chair looking at his cell phone. He did not introduce himself or the procedure. I did not exchange one word with him at all!! I was very dissapointed.

Had an appointment with Dr. Ojeri, waited two hours and was seen by another Doctor in the practice. Receptionist said they give you anyone who is free.

Dr Ojuri does not keep informed about his patients. He recently walked in to a endoscopy that he requested four weeks prior and said " what are we here for today"He had promised to discuss the results immediately after the procedure and yet had his staff schedule it for two days later.

I have been to worst Doctors, however DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME SEEING THIS MEDICAL GROUP 111 They have the worst billing Department I have ever dealt with. They never return calls or send statements until they threaten you with late notice! There are dozens of better Medical Groups for Gastroenterology services. I again felt the Doctor was average, however he or any Doctor in this practice does not rate high enough for the aggravation the Billing Department causes. They can only make excuses....

When my doctor told me it was time for me to get a colonoscopy I thought the worst. I didn't know what to expect. He told me to contact Dr Ojuri's office for an appointment so I did. The staff gave me a prompt appointment. The day of my visit I was greeted in the front desk (very nice girls). I was given forms to fill out and when it was time to see the doctor he made me feel at ease. He explained to me exactly what to expect and I felt comfortable in knowing this was a doctor who knew what he was doing. I recommended him to my siblings.

Valium, verced and demerol all put in back of hand vein. Phlebitis for over 3 weeks.
