Dr. Alain S Coppel, MD

When he first started his practice in a small office he was very personable and took time to know his patients. My ex son-in-law was his patient for years until Coppella started branching out then he no longer had time to personally attend to his old patients. The my daughter started having back problems and started getting treatments at his E. Charleston office which is poorly run. Staff doesn't return calls nor relate messages; one of his PA's is rude and denies no phone messages when the patient has a phone record of date and time called; daughter had to have pain meds ready for after surgery but no one returned her calls; she had a second surgery within weeks from her first back surgery and her pain meds ran out and she called for refills since the pharmacy couldn't fill the hospital's physician's prescription since she was in Pain Management and it had to come from them so now she is waiting to go in to get the prescriptions filled to get pain relief. She definitely is changing as Dr. Coppel lets staff run his clinics without his diligence of checking his clinics to see that they are run in a compassinate way and not just collecting his money. He is not the same caring doctor when he first started. Definitely my family would not recommend him. I would rate him a minus star (-*)

I've been a patient with his business for 3 years now. I've had a couple of minor issue's with the policies there, but overall I would rate him and his staff well. They do care and for being in a very badly watched line of work they do what they can to keep me mobile and working.

Love Dr Coppel and his Staff. He takes great care of me and has always made me feel comfortable.

Dr coppel is not a good doctor he all about the money and not about the. Patients and be careful if u dnt do what they say u will get discharge dnt go there

I dnt understand these doctors these days soon as sumethng go wrng or u dnt tell the truth they wanna kick u to the curve smh this world is messed but he not the only a dotor n town

This doctor is the worst in town.All he wants to do is injections.Money hungry.He does not listen. He wanted to work on the wrong part of my body.Stay away from this creep.

I have been seen at their very clean, well appointed office for nearly 3 yrs now. Let me tell you i have been a registered nurse for 21 years, now disabled from bad back injury. I am always greeted and treated with respect and professionalism. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I get inejections in my back yearly and they are done perfectly allowing me to cut my pain meds to the lowest level i have ever been able to do myself. No one yelling or telling me i needed to do so. I would send a anyone here. My ins originally sent me to a different practice and i walked out crying and my ins sent me here instead. Thank God!

Iam Dr Copel patient for almost 4 years and he was always respectfull and interest in my problem, he helped me to find two opinions about my hernia of disc ( with two surgeons) and finally after a lot of researchs and tests ( to make sure i had the problem ) i did a back surgery last year. Now iam 100% better from my back problem. What people dont understand is Dr. Copel will not prescribe whatt you dont need, and he even help you get out off your pain pills. He is not looking making money on you, he is trying to help with your pain. I know his staff since they were in previous location and i always iwas treat wonderfull. I refearl him for some people that i know and was having pain problems and everybody that i refearl there are very happy. I never heard him scream or said bad words. I think he is a very professional doctor who is interested on your improvement .

Apart from being a highly educated professional, he showed me the care to speak in my native language, this felt very personable, he is a very caring human being. I can see that nobody is perfect and when living in pain, viewpoints can be very thwarted, but I found all his staff as very caring and compassionate, as well as his Physicians Assistants.

I 1st came here as I've been on disabilty & Medicare since 2001. It's a tiny, dirty office. As I sad, mind you in such dire-straights pain, & remember this ws my very 1st time, he walks in real fast hops in his set & omg asks me do I know who he is, of course not, he replies I own & rin this office. Honestly, I could care less & he spoke so aggressive & loud as I'm in so much pain & could care less if Donald Trump owned it, I was there for my pain & just left. This was the worse exreience & I can't help how is he a DR.-?- & YOU couldn't pay me to go back to his ego-manic "EVER"- pls. don't bother. Fro about anything.

Terrible physician... Spoke poorly about his PAs right in front of his staff. Waited forever to see him for a two minute appointment...

This office and doctor were terrible. Staff was confused on appointments and times. The doctor was rude, cussed at me and refused to discuss a second opinion. Waited for over an hour. Worst experience ever.

1st off you never see him only the assistance and if you ask to see him he makes sure you wont ask again. very judgemental and dishonest. He makes one treatment plan and then changes it for no reason and doesn't ask you anything he just tells you what is going to happen.Not proffesional nor caring at all.I would go somewhere else were you have an opinion on your own health. takes you off meds that are working and replaces it with nothing which obviously causes you to be in more pain not less.

I have to say, one of the best experiences I have had with a pain doc since Ive been in Las Vegas. It started with his staff. They were nice and it was extremely easy to make an appointment. When I got there, I didnt wait for more than even five minutes and I was already back seeing the doctor. I had been having back pain for a really long time and after discussing all of my treatment options with him, I feel much better about everything. I encourage everyone to give this doctor a try. I have been seeing Dr. Coppel for about a year now, and I must say this gentleman, his staff, and level of care and services are outstanding! Dr Coppel's bedside manner is great! He always takes the time to talk with you, and explain in detail everything that is going on with you, and the options of treatment available for your condition(s). His office staff are great too. They are very warm, friendly, and very professional. One thing I like most about Dr. Coppel is that he is not a phony, like a lot of Doctors are in Las Vegas. He has a genuine interest in his patients, and calls things the way they are, without making a big production out of it. When he is not available in the office, as he performs other treatments that require being in the hospital, he has several highly trained Dr. assistants, whom are equally professional, and whom are very well educated and licensed, so they understand your medical issues very well, and can explain things in an easy to understand way. Also, they are able to prescribe the correct medications you need. His office also offers a diverse field of treatment in conjunction with medication, such as surgical procedures for spine issues, spinal cord stimilators, steroid injections, basically he treats all types of pain in every part of the body, plus so many other procedures and services. Making an appointment easy, and he never over books, so the most I have ever waited upon arrival at his office was maybe 10 minutes to see the Doc, if that. He will also have you follow up in a short time, and won't make you wait a month to see him again, if you require that kind of care. He also accepts all types of insurance, and if you don't have any insurance, his fees are affordable, at least in my opinion. Dr,. Coppel and his staff speak Spanish too! All in all, Dr. Coppel is a great pain management specialist, and I would recommend him to anyone who is in need of this type of specialty medicine.

I had an opportunity to meet Dr. Coppel after relocating from a differnt state. I have to say I was very impressed with his clinic. The staff was very nice and I only had to wait 5 minutes after I filled out my initial paperwork before being placed in a room and only an additional 5 minutes before seeing the doctor. He was very frienly, jovial and had a great bedside manner. You could really tell he knew what he was talking about and was concerned for my well being. He provided me with several treatment options that have really made a difference in my ability to function with less pain. Overall I was very satified with my visit and I would rate my total experience as excellent when I compared it to previuos providers I have seen, even better then I experienced when I saw a specialist at a major academic center. I guess his training at Johns Hopkins really taught him well. I would recommend to family and freinds.

Dr. Coppel and his staff are all very pleasant and professional. Dr Coppell is highly educated and experienced in what he practices, and takes the time necessary in addressing any issues and questions I had. He is very knowledgeable in his field of pain management, and is a surgeon and anesthesiologist as well, which makes him available to offer the most advanced PM surgical procedures and alternatives to PM instead of medication. A couple of times Dr. Coppell was not available to see me, but Javier his assistant saw me instead, and he is very friendly and professional too. Javier took his time to answer any questions I had, and address any concerns I had as well. Also, Dr. Coppel's office staff is extremely nice and efficient in what they do! They are always happy to see me and are always in a great mood. It is also easy to schedule an appointment with Dr. Coppel's office, and upon arriving at his office, I have never waited more than 8 minutes in the waiting room. Overall, I would say if you are looking for a professional and friendly PM Dr. Dr. Coppel is whom you would want to see!

This doctor is so unprofessional he dropped the f-bomb at least 6 times in my first and only encounter. Not only did he not examine my injury and completely ignored my MRI'S he released me to work with no restrictions when two other doctors stated I should be on light duty. At the same time he states in his report that I should increase my pain medication dosage as well as the frequency and tells me "just be careful at you construction job". This creep is obviously working for the insurance companies, when asked to fill out a legal document for the state he stated I had work restrictions to conceal his initial report but then retracted, put "white out" on the restrictions portion of the form and resubmitted after a " phone call from the insurance co. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR!!!!!
