Dr. Alan H Wang, MD

this comment is 3 years delayed. 3 years ago my husband was having trouble swallowing. We went to the office to try and get seen immediately. There were three doctors in the office at the time and nobody would see us. I was pleading with the receptionist. Dr. Wang happened to be walking by. It turned out he wasn't even coming into work. He was just picking up some papers. He overheard my conversation with the receptionist and he stepped in. He took me and my husband back to his office. There wasn't even a patient room available so he saw us in his private office. Within 10 minutes he had us scheduled for a scope test the very next day! He found a big cancer in my husband's stomach. He sent us to the University of Chicago where we had excellent Cancer Care. My husband just passed away. But because of Dr. Wang I had 3 years to spend with him. We traveled we renewed our vows and he passed peacefully at home. If not for Dr. Wang's kindness my husband would have died a long time ago. We are forever grateful.

Dr Wang is very patient focused and caring.

I'm not sure how anyone could say anything bad about this man. And the few negative comments written on this web page absolutely do not reflect who this doctor is. It just goes to show you that there are people out there who can never be pleased. I have many medical problems and I see many doctors over the last few decades. Dr. Wang is by far and away the best of the Best.

This is absolutely the worst, cold, unprofessional, arrogant man much less doctor I have ever met and I have worked in the medical field for over 30 years. There is something missing in this man. Totally unempathetic and just downright mean! I don't know how else to say it and I don't know how to explain it.

I see Dr. Wang. He is very kind. I've seen a few other GI docs in the area before and they didn't take me seriously. None of the other doctors would do an endoscopy for my pains. Finally I saw Dr. Wang and he did the endoscopy and found an ulcer in my stomach. He actually listened to me!

This factor has no bedside manner. He completely discounted my complaints and made me feel silly for being upset about symptoms that had been affecting my daily life for over six months. After my colonoscopy, when I had JUST woken up, he popped into my room for about 30 seconds and said "It's probably just anxiety, everything looks fine". At which point he left. After they got my biopsy back, which showed that I had H-Pylori (and I wasn't crazy), there was NO follow up from him at all. No wonder I was able to get in for an appointment with him the same day I called. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

This has been the best doctor visit I have had. Dr. Wang explained everything in detail, was pleasant, funny and really was concerned about my well being. He is also the most skilled doctor at the colonoscopy according to all the staff I asked at Edward Hospital.

Staff rude and not very friendly or helpful.

Dr. Wang is so humble - so kind - and possibly the best doctor with DuPage Medical Group. He takes the time to listen and made both the procedures my husband had - as well as myself smoothly. His staff is wonderful. The woman who does his schedules and so kind. I canâ??t say enough about this Doctor - everyone at DuPage Medical can learn from this wonderful Doctor.
