This man is an excellent technician, but a miserable human being. I have never been treated so disrespectfully by a doctor before or since.

This Doctor will get you dead.... and then falsify your medical record to cover up his mistake ... he did this to me.. and I can prove it...PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS GUY and make sure he documents his withdrawal time for colonoscopy procedures (should be (6) six min minimum per the standard of care... look at your records (PLEASE).... I am wearing a permanent bag because of this Guy!!!

Dr. Sunshine was very thorough in both his Pre-op and Post-op appointments. He was very clear and decisive in his explanation of what he found and what he did, during the procedure. He found and removed nine (9) benign Polyps, of which three (3) had been bleeding. He clearly explained due to this I should be seen again in one (1) year. This was done on November 29, 2016.

He hates smokers. He was rude. Poor bedside manners. He did ask questions about my health issues. Told me to stop smoking and leave my husband. I left his office in tears. Made me feel like I was 2 in tall.

Dr. Sunshine has the kind of compassion that is often lost in the rush rush medicine of today, spends time to hear and diagnose not only your symptoms and order tests, but ask how YOU really are.. How rare is it to find not only a country doctor approach in the big city, but one who is brilliant and has experience you can trust. He takes care of my whole family and I can't say enough about the quality of his care, bedside manner, courteous staff and the time he takes to get to the bottom of what ails.

Dr. Sunshine is to the point but kind. Had a polpy removed during a colonoscopy in 2012. Testing showed it was cancerous. He took time to explain options, go over testing. Three months later we did a repeat colonoscopy to check tissues in area where polpy was removed. All was clear. My one year colonoscopy is still good. Appointment was easy. Frequent e-mails was sent to remind me of the appointment and instructions including brief e-mails counting down the days before the procedures and instruction. that worked well for me.

Dr. Sunshine made me feel comfortable and explained everything anyone could ever need to know about a colonoscopy. The communucation from his practice (Atlanta Gastroenterology) was incredible. I had more than one reminder call, had multiple emails as the procedure date got closer making sure I was ollowing the "plan", and then more instruction on every aspect of the procedure. The surrounding staff was VERY nice and such pleasant people even though they do this day after day (not sure I could be that nice). I would highly recommend Dr. Sunshine to anyone needing a colonoscopy! And yes, you can joke with him about his name!

Rude staff, too long waits.

I have had very good experiences with Dr. Sunshine. I sometimes have to wait too long, but I don't mind as long as I get "MY" time. The only thing that bothers me is, I sometimes think his medical asst. does not think too highly of him. But she is my lifeline to him, and I wouldn't want to make her angry at me. She is always making comments like, he must have forgot, or he must have got that confused. If she knows something I don't know about his brain function , she should just tell me or can you spell insubordination? I say all that to say a Doctor is often as good as his staff.

I would like to thank Dr. Alan Sunshine for his excellent care, time and attention. I am blessed to have him as my doctor.

Dr. Sunshine has superb medical skills and credentials. He has displayed with me a wonderful way with patients --- he's informative, doesn't speaks very much as an equal, and takes in my mind an above average amount of time with a patient ensuring the patient is informed and as reassured as the situation allows.

Dr. Sunshine will tell you the facts and get to the point. He is without a doubt the best gastroenterologist I have seen. I had diverticulitis and eventually a sigmoid colectomy and he prescribed the correct therapy and recommended the best surgeon in Atlanta. I have complete confidence in recommending Dr. Sunshine.

Dr. Sunshine is a fabulous doctor. I would recommend him to anyone that needs a Gastroenterology doctor. Very professional and very honest.

Just 'survived' my second colonoscopy procedure by Dr. Sunshine following a 10 year respite after my first and definitely plan to return to Dr. Sunshine 10 years from now if he is still in practice. The prep is very clearly spelled out in the materials provided, the email reminders are timely and he is very open to all questions and concerns. Dr. Sunshine is straightforward in his explanations and a good listener. I felt I was in the hands of a caring and professional doctor the entire time.

I just had my 3rd colonoscopy with this doctor yesterday. When I scheduled my 1st colonoscopy with him 10 years ago, I had great difficulty drinking the prep and cancelled late in the evening before the procedure. From his home that night, he called me at home to find out why I wanted to cancel. To be honest, I was really freaking out with fear and anxiety. He talked to me for about 30 minutes. I would give him a reason why I didn't want to do this, and he would give me a logical answer as to why I should. To make a long story short, he convinced me to finish drinking the prep, and I went through with the colonoscopy. During the procedure, he found a polyp and removed it. It was not cancerous, but if not removed, it can become cancerous. Because of this, I can honestly say that he saved my life. He is one of the most caring, compassionate, and qualified doctors that I have ever met. Thankfully, my next 2 colonoscopies showed no polyps or cancer.

I was referred to Dr. Sunshine for my first colonoscopy after turning 50. He made the procedure very clear, straightforward and easy from start to finish. The entire process was efficient and he and his team provide great patient service and care. I would highly recommend him.

Been seeing Dr Sunshine over 30 years,. He was the only Dr who could get me relife from a stricture in my esophagus. He also treats my crohn's.Great, great,guy
