I had a root canal there....FYI just had it done again at a professional office they left a piece of roof- every 2minutes they called the dentist out to read cleaning X-rays!! They did not know how to work with insurance - several times they asked me to do their job!

Gave my 6 yr old child nitrous oxide for filling a cavity after I had requested them not to.

Pros: Clean, new office. Staff seem well-trained and on top of things. Dr. La Torre seems to be knowledgeable in what he does. Cons: This is not a caring practice where they take the time necessary working with each child with patience. They seem to want to sedate children for even the smallest fillings. They say it is in the child's best interest and safety oriented. However, I think it is for their own convenience & profit. Obviously, sedation makes it much easier and faster for them to work on kids AND they get to charge more. They say sedation is safe, Dr. is specially trained, etc., etc.... But if it were so safe, why are they required to have a defibrillator on-site, an antidote, and have all the nurses CPR trained? I think it is one of those things a parent has to think about and decide what is best for his/ her child. If your child has a lot of caries and you want your child sedated to get everything fixed at once, then this is a good place to come. Otherwise, you can look for another dentist who will take the time and work with your child. Another thing: they do NOT allow parents to stay in the treatment room with child.

My young child was taken back into the office for a procedure. The front staff left. The rest of the patients were gone and yet we still waited for a half hour for my child to come out. No apologies, no updates, no real information from the dentist or hygienist. A large bruise developed later that day, never even mentioned as a possibility. Worst patient experience and care by a medical professional ever. We will not be back.

Marcy THE MONSTER ! My child was degraded, called names & pulled out of the xrazy chair. This happened the FIRST VISIT !! This woman is a nightmare & shouldn't be aloud near children ! Managers didn't seem to mind how she treats children. Apparently she is the enforcer for reluctant kids who are scared of the dentist.

First let me say that I have grown up in pediatric dental offices, my mom has been in the industry for 25+ years and I also grew up working in offices. With that being said I recently have had my children at Dr. Latorre's office for cleanings and followups. I was told that both of my children had 8 teeth on 'watch' for cavities a year ago. They wanted us to purchase special MI Paste and Xylitol products to help preventing them from decaying. They wanted both of my kids to come back in 3 months for additional xrays. We did not come back to the office for these because it is not necessary to expose the children to even more radiation. We recently came back for our six month cleaning and I was told one of my 5 yr old children needed 8 fillings. And in order for them to treat them she would have to be sedated with diazepam, which they sent home with me. I asked then why this was necessary and they said it keeps them calm in the chair. Mind you, my child is a VERY good patient and there is no need for this except to make their job easier. Up to this point, I have been to the office 3 times and NEVER once did I meet the doctor. I felt that 8 fillings was a big deal so I went for a second opinion and it turns out that my child has ZERO cavities, not 8!!! 2 are on watch, but no work is needed at the moment!!!! If I had not gotten a second opinion I would have put my child through so much unnecessary trama!! I did not get a good feeling in this office and was uncomfortable the way I saw many children on the diazepam in the waiting room and fear that more families are being taken advantage of. I am not one to generally write reviews or speak poorly of someone, but I just felt it was necessary to explain my situation here hoping to warn someone else that a second opinion may help your child and prevent unnecessary trauma for them.
