He is really kind, knowledgeable and has great bedside manner. He is a great surgeon! I had Da Vinci assisted laparoscopic myomectomy for 9 cm fibroid. Dr Steren was my surgeon and did a great job. It was nearly painless and recovery was good.

I had 4 fibroid and an endometriosis cyst to be removed. I visited two other doctors before seeing Dr. Steren and both of them said it would be a C-section like cut to remove the big fibroid which is about 8cm large. I deferred the surgery for a year because of scare of the cut, until my fertility doctor referred Dr. Steren to me. He did a great job on the surgery, ending up with a minimal invasion surgery with Da Venci technology assisted. I am recovering very well now. I really appreciate Dr. Steren's service.

I went to see Dr. Steren to remove my uterus because of a precancerous condition. My Dr. said she couldn't do it because I had had previous surgery and she was afraid she was going to injure my intestines because of scar tissue. She referred to me to Dr. Steren because "he was the best" and would be able to perform my surgery safely. She was absolutely right! He has a very calm and comforting demeanor. He explained everything to me carefully and completely. And thank God my surgery went smoothly and I was cured of my disease. He was great the whole time!

Dr. Steren is the most caring, compassionate doctor that you could want. I felt like he had all the time in the world to answer my questions and to assure me of a positive outcome. He also recommended an excellent doctor for my brachytherapy.

Dr Steren was excellent throughout the entire process. His calm demeanor helped me and my husband stay calm as he answered all our questions. He was attentive prior to the operation and talked to my husband after the operation about my condition. He took his time in post surgery visits. I couldn't ask for a better professional. I would not hesitate to recommend him especially when facing Cancer issues.

Dr. Steren was my surgeon six months ago. He explained the procedure in detail. The procedure itself was painless during and afterwards, it has been six months and I have yet to experience any pain. He is a champion at his craft, excellent bedside manner and I am happy and blessed to have had him as my surgeon.

I was diagnosed with fibroids and in panic since I never had surgery before. I found Dr Steren after few doctors and felt so comfortable. He is a role model to all doctors not only with his accurate diagnosis and surgery skills but also empathy and compassion. Medical schools can't teach empathy... I know this is irrelevant... but in addition to what's been said about this incredibly caring, knowledgable doctor, I just wanted to add that he is also a wonderful husband and a wonderful father. Miraculous surgeon! Wonderful bedside manner! He was clear on what could be safely accomplished and how best to do it. If you need gynecologic surgery please go for a second opinion with this man! I had pelvic mass that all my Drs said was cancer and needed a huge incision to remove. Dr. Steren said he thought it was benign and did the surgery robotically and saved me weeks and months of recuperation. Plus he was right on the money!!If you know there are people like this in the community why would you have surgery anywhere else?

Dr Sterens performed a hyster on me in Jan,2011.. I had been going to him for some time before that with several female issues. He makes you feel so at ease. His characteristics are like that of Jesus Christ Himself. I am crying as I am typing because although I saw him for 2 years before the big surgery, I miss him dearly and his wonderful smile. My husband thinks that he is a nice man as well. He is the most caring, passionate, gentle doctor that I have ever met. God is showing that man favor, this I know because of how he treats his patience and people. I really miss him. I may go by just to sa hi. I truly believe he is one of God's angels. I had multiple fibroids, one was especially huge. I had been suffering for years with pain, heavy bleeding, etc. Finally, I gave up and a friend told me about Dr. Steren. I was reluctant to have surgery because of recovery, scarring, etc. But I made the right decision going with Dr. Steren. Any doctor that can deal with me is truly a soldier!
