My young teen niece was in severe back pain for months before being diagnosed with a possible life threatening or permanently damaging internal condition. The pain would spike at night, where do you go?,,,the ER. Dr Sow said there was nothing wrong with her and she needed a psych evaluation. The next ER visit in the middle of the night he told them to leave, there was nothing he could do for her and he refused treatment. Two nights later she was seen at UW Madison Children’s Hospital ER , admitted and surgery a few hours later. We were not expecting Dr Sow to diagnose but to help her until it could be. Not to believe a patients pain is real, accusing a young girl of faking the pain and refusing to see them in he middle of the night with no where else to go is unacceptable!
