Atlanta's top pain doctor for a reason.

I realize that most doctors are a bit full of themselves, but this one takes the cake. Dr. Hord has an incredible rude and arrogant demeanor. He was very dismissive of my pain issues and seemed irritated that he even had to see me. The worst part of all was I observed him being incredibly inappropriate to his staff.

Dr. Hord super professional and knows what he is talking about. The PA Linda is truly something special. She is caring understanding and I can't say enough about her, she is what all doctors should be! She is in the right place cus I have spent over 20years in and out of doctors and she is in the top top. Just gives you a feeling that she understands and that is rare in this field. The staff from front desk to nurses are also super sweet, caring and accommodate as much as possible. Highly recommend!

He is a good doctor. Not very pleasant however.

Although I respect Dr Hord I have never felt respected by him. I found the way he spoke to me when I asked questions about my health and my care to be condescending.

My experience was ok. He helped me to some degree but he lacks much of a personality.

I feel better after being under his care, I just wish he were a nicer and more personable doctor.

In 2006, one of my doctors truly believed that he knew the pain specialist that was going to eliminate a pain I was suffering since 1996. He was totally right and this doctor was Allen Hord. Since then, Dr. Hord takes care of any pain I suffer for different reasons. Without his help, I wouldnâ??t be writing this review! In my opinion, he is the best doctor and truly outstanding in his specialization for numerous reasons. Above all, he has the nowadays rare ability to figure out the source of pains without relying only in tests. For me this is essential because it means that he listens to the explanations given by the patient because tests do not always show everything. He gives his time to understand what caused a particular pain in the first place, which is another uncommon approach. In doing so, his treatments are always correct. This explains why, if possible, he doesnâ??t want to have his patients coming back again and again for the same problem. He is happy when he is successful in doing his job. For this attitude, I trust him totally. Yes, I do have pains, but I have Dr. Hord for taking care of them!! I do not know any of the other doctors in the same practice than Dr. Hord. But I dare to say that a successful professional will work only with similar peers. I hope that I do not need to, but if in case of an urgent problem when Dr. Hord is out of town, I think that I will see another of his colleagues without hesitation until he gets back. Another reason for which I trust Dr. Hord, and for extension this group of specialists, is the staff. Itâ??s fantastic without exception from the front desk to the surgical room. I get better just for seeing them, so warm, so happy, so relax and revealing at the same time high degree of professionalism. For details like these, I not only trust Dr. Hord for believing that he is the best, but I congratulate him for working hard for achieving an exceptional and continual reputation!!

Dr. Hord is the BEST Dr. in Atlanta for pain management. I have been with him MANY years and he's consistently good. He's also a good person. I couldn't recommend him more highly!

Dr. Hord is an amazing doctor. I have been too many doctors and he has tremendously eased my pain. There was no waiting in the waiting room and he was extremely friendly and comforting.

Dr. Hord and his entire team at the Paces Ferry location (both surgical and office staff)are OUTSTANDING. Here are some highlights:-I have never waited more than 5 minutes-Dr. Hord's bedside manner, patience and incredibly thorough investigation of records, scans and of you - the patient, are simply off the charts! Truly, unlike 99% of all other doctors I've ever seen... -He spent well over 2 hours with me on my first visit due to the complexity of my case, and then made sure I was fit into his surgical schedule for the very next day.- Office staff follows up on a regular basis- Office staff gets in contact with Dr Hord and back in touch with you, usually within two hours if you call with a concern- Compassionate, caring, and understanding, Dr. Hord is also an all around nice guy! He is very personable, again as is his entire staff- Simply put, one of the rarest gems of a doctor you will ever find!

Dr. Hord is the BEST Doctor I have ever been to. I have been seeing him for over a year. I never wait more that 5-10 minutes past appt. time. Mostly right on time. He is so kind and caring. I have never felt rushed one time in his office. You can tell he really cares about his patients. He has a fantastic office staff. I love them all. I have a chronic, incurable condition. I have had several procedures there and it is helping me. If he suggests something that I do not agree with, we move onto the next thing and he never displays any kind of attitude. If you suffer with chronic pain, do yourself a favor and go see Doctor Hord!

Excellent office, Dr. Hord sent me for an MRI and then had a series of injections that have been very helpful. I am grateful for his staff who are very kind. Dr. Hord is easy to talk to and is a great doctor. I will tell my internal medicine doctor thank you for sending me to a fantastic and nice doctor.
