Dr Scheflers and her team are excellent. She correctly diagnosed Chordial Melanomas in both eyes, my previous Dr misdiagnosed. 3+ years later - outstanding results It's worth my trips from Seattle to get her care

She was fast but took the time for questions and explanations.

Was sent to her to make sure I did not have melanoma. Had melanoma on my back but thank God all was normal. This practice was very friendly and efficient. Great to know we have doctors like her in Houston!

One has to separate the Practice from the Doctor in my opinion. True, there are long wait times at their offices during appointments (a result of their success), however, I got there for the quality of care by the doctor(s). With that in mind, there are no better retinal specialists that I know or heard of anywhere on the planet. Any patient of theirs knows this and, if in doubt, just check their academic and professional achievements (Ivy League schools, published studies, peer awards, etc, etc). They saved my right eye and perhaps my life from their quick diagnosis and incredibly effective treatment of my condition. Their staff is equally effective. I couldn't care less about anyone's demeanor (which are all fine here). I need the best medical help, period. If I want a friend, I'll get a dog....

Dr. Schefler and all the staff that I have encountered have all been very friendly, courteous, and professional. They have been outstanding in getting me in and rendering treatment as quickly as possible when I have had issues with my eyes. I also understand that at times the wait may seem longer than expected but I also understand why. Many times at The Woodlands office at St. Lukes patients are brought over from MD Anderson to see Dr. Schefler and other doctors on duty. Dr. Schefler will spend as much time as necessary with these patients as it is probably not good news that they are coming from MD Anderson for consultation. With that I would say to some, please give them a break when they might be running a little late.

Slow service, unfriendly staff, location near a hospital so traffic and parking are bad. Honestly if there was an alternative to going there I'd take it.

Really knows her stuff. Caring. Great assistant, good communication. My 3rd ocular oncologist and I am sticking with her. She does talk fast but will take time to explain.
