I have been looking for an internist for over 20 years and was lucky enough to be taken as a patient by Dr Outon through the request of another doctor. It was my lucky day, for he is a brilliant diagnostician who spends a great deal of time with each patient. If I have to wait to see he it is because he is spending comparable time with patients before me. If he were taking new patients I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone. I was fortuate to have been taken as his patient.

He is a decent physician but over the years i have noticed a change in his practice. He used spend time with patients and now it seems to be more about money.

An exceptionally talented and caring doctor who listens to you and hears you. If he is late for an appointment it is because he is giving the prior patient all the time he needs---as he will do for you. I would certainly recommend him but I don't think he can take on more patients than he already has. If he does take you on, you're in luck.

Once I got in to see Dr. Outon, he was fantastic. He had perfect bedside manner, diagnosed me quickly and accurately, and did what he could to keep treatment affordable for me.However, I ultimately left him because getting to see him was like trying to see the Wizard of Oz. It was a two-month wait to get an appointment for a physical. Whenever I tried to get in to see him because I was unexpectedly sick, I was often told to try other specialists first. If I refused, there would be a routine where I'd call and explain my problems/symptoms over the phone to a receptionist/nurse, trying desperately to justify needing a visit. She'd say she'd speak with the doctor and call me back. I wouldn't get a return phone call until about six hours later. Eventually, he'd see me, but the whole process would take a day and a half of them telling me how much I was being an imposition for getting sick.He's a great doctor, but possibly a victim of his own success.
