Super great doc, super great medical office staff. But why oh why can't they get the billing right? Statements are sent with incorrect amounts. Had an appointment even cancelled when they incorrectly thought I was not in network, took hours of trying to get them on the phone with my insurance co to get that one straight. Staff becomes very defensive (even raises their voices) when you call them to try to get a corrected statement. Something needs to be done. Almost makes you want to find a different provider. :-(

Quick to schedule. Friendly staff. Very quick to return calls. Professional and very through. Explains reasoning behind testing . And very good follow up in the office

Been going to Dr. Shea for about 5 years now. Has always been very kind and patient. Listens to my issues. Do not feel rushed as I do at my other doctor's offices. Have had both an upper scope and colon scope with him. center very professional. painless. nurse calls me back same day. overall very happy with my care and will continue to go to him

Got his name from a very good friend of mine i have known for very long time. I had stomach issues for a very long time and had gone to several other gut doctors and they could never figure out the problem. So I was a little dubious when I went to see him. First of, the wait was not that long in the waiting room or in the exam room. He was very professional . The thing that stood out the most was the fact that he took the time to listen to my problems. I did not feel rushed like at other doctors. Offices. He even explained his thought process and outlined a plan of trying to figure out the problem. It took a few tests but he did diagnose my problem and we treated it and finally my gut is happy again.

I have been a patient of his for many years. He has taking care of my routine proceedures and my irritable bowel issues. have also taken time to listen to my problems. i have never felt rushed during our visits. He comes with different options of treatment and we also discusss together what is the best way. the scope center staff is also very professional and kind. never had any issues there either. will continue to see him for my problems and procedures.

The scheduling was very easy. I was able to talk to a live person quickly which is always nice. Front desk very nice and professional . Looks like recent remodel done as well. Dr Shea was very kind and courteous. I did not feel rushed during the visit. Also carefully explained to me reasons behind testing being recommended. Results from testing recieived in a very timely manner. His nurse also very nice as well which is always a big bonus

I have been seeing Dr. Shea for many years now. Has taken care of me from my routine colonscopy to taking care of my heartburn issues. The endoscopy center has always been nice and very professional. Has always sat down and discussed different ways to manage my problems. His nurse also has been very response to my calls. usually i will get a call back same day as well.

I had stomach issues all my life. Have seen several specialists without a diagnosis . Have thought it was in my head. Finally tried and again and saw dr Shea . He took the time to listen to my problems (and it was a Long list :) then we started the work up. It took a few tests but we eventually came to a answer. Now my digestive tract is much much better. If I have any issues I know I can call the office and he will either call me back same day or work me in of needed. It is nice to know that he is there if I ever get in trouble. His office front staff is also very friendly as well. Most of the time the wait time is no more then 20 minutes .

I was referred to Dr Shea by my family doctor for abdominal pain. Dr Shea was very professional and knowledgeable. He had all my records reviewed in advance so by the time I met with him he already knew most of my history. But he still took the time to go over all the data with me to make sure I understand the results. He performed a thorough medical exam with focus on the abdomen. He has an excellent bedside manner and encouraged me to ask questions. He took his time to answer all my questions and I never felt rushed. Because of my pain and my age, Dr Shea recommended a colonoscopy. I was a little concerned of getting a colonoscopy ( which is why I delayed previously) since a friend of mine had a complication. Dr Shea explained the many possible side effects and complications, both common and not so common. I had my colonoscopy and it went perfect.

Dr. Shea help me diagnose an issue that others could not. I had alot of burping and stomach discomfort. I had other run tests on me and could not find the answer. Eventually ended up seeing Dr. Shea. After reveiweing the stuff that had been done. We decided to do an upper scope to see what is going on. Fortunately there was nothing serious. Turned out I had a stomach infection and acid reflux. After treatment I felt much better. Then few years later I needed a colon scope and he preformed that as well. I was very nervous initally, but he explained the procedure step by step very well. He told me what to watch for on the preparation process so I would not be nervous. The day of the scope I was nervous, but the nurses at the scope center was so very nice. They started the IV no problem. they rolled me into the room and after they started the medicine, I was asleep very quickly. Next thing I know I was back in recovery. He had found 1 polyp was turned out to be pre-cancerous. So I was happy he removed it. I have no hesistation referreng him to my friends and have done so. He has done an excellent job. Also his nurse was very nice when my daughter called with questins and patiently explained / answered her questions.
