Dr. ANITA IYER

I had to undergo a procedure that had to be done at the hospital. I had to be there at 9am for an 11am procedure. I had to fast of all food for 12 hours before the procedure and no liquids after 7am. My husband and I were informed at 11am that Dr. Iyer was at a different hospital delivering a baby. We received no other information. Time went by and I became very hungry and inpatient. At 2pm my husband finally called her office and they said they would try to track her down and get some info for us. They called back, but had no info about when she would be there for my scheduled procedure. My husband received a call from her office at 3:30pm letting us know that she was on her way. She arrived at 4pm, 5 HOURS LATE. She was not apologetic and tried to gain sympathy from us because she had a long day. She didn't check in with me or my husband after. She said she would call with my test results and I never heard from her. I called her office and received a negative attitude from the staff. I will be getting a new dr. after 15 years with her.

This woman is awful. She misdiagnosed me without even looking or checking to see what was wrong with me. She does not care about her patients and should not be able to practice medicine, let alone work with Pregnant women. Please stop treating patients.. it's not for you.

Right from my initial consultation to the actual procedure, she always seemed rude, bored and in a hurry. She never explained after care after the procedure which I think is highly unethical. If you want someone who is personable, kind and understanding, find another doctor.

Went in for a pregnancy check up and I was rushed to the ER for a suspected ectopic pregnancy and I needed immediate surgery according to "dr." Dr. Iyers was supposed to come shortly after (was 5pm when I made it to the ER) as her office is connected to the hospital. She did not come until 2am in the morning. She told me not to worry and that it was a routine surgery. I woke up without an ovary as she said it was actually an ovarian pregnancy but days later I miscarried so it was not an ectopic or an ovarian pregnancy but a misdiagnosis. I asked to talk to her during my week stay in the hospital for a "routine surgery" but she was busy and sent other doctors from her practice. I went in to her office to confront her about her mistake and how costly it was for me and she said she has never had an ovarian pregnancy in all the years she was a doctor and hindsight is 20/20 and she was sorry but I have another ovary that can help me get pregnant. She cost me my child and she shaved off years from my fertility timeline due to her malpractice and negligence. Run very, very far away.

Dr Iyer was really mean and was very impatient in giving answers. She didn't even bother to listen to the concerns and looked like she wanted me to get out of the office fast. After waiting for 40 mins, she only spoke to me for 3 mins. Unbelievable and very unprofessional.

She makes me feel comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. Let be real, who enjoys going to their OB doctor. She delivered my son and did an amazing job. She was able to bring him into this world safely and ensured that I was safe too. It has been 8 years since my son was born and I still go to her. I high recommend her.

My regular dr wasn’t available, so I made appointment with her. Let me tell you..My appointment was a joke, i have waited for an hr in the office to have maybe 10 min of her time. She’s very ignorant, walked in to the office, didn’t even apologize for the long wait, didn’t even bother to check my chart to see how far along I was with my pregnancy, when I made a comment she began to be very rude and went though the appointment as quick as possible ...no genuine concern about patient whatsoever!!! will never see her again!

I DON'T reccomend this dr to ANYONE!!!I Unfortunately experienced a second trimester loss, she scheduled my induction next day, I delivered my daughter a little after 2am and she came in looked irritated and could tell she didn't want to be there , my after birth didn't come out and she kept saying she doesn't want to do a dnc so no joke to me attempted a dnc without the tools she was so unbelievably rough and brutal the pain was unbearable!!!!she then insisted she got everything out and well no surprise, she didn't!had to have a dnc a month later. She's just absolutely horrible!!!!!

Dr. Iyer is wonderful! I had been to many doctors, including two others in this practice, but am so very happy to have found her! She listens to you completely, answers questions, never rushes the appointment. She is thorough and checks every avenue to ensure good care and the best treatment options. I completely trust her with my care and feel confident in my daughter going to her when she comes of age to need gynecological care. My only complaint would be with wait times - you wait in the waiting room and treatment room up to an hour at times before the doctor comes in, but that is an office issue, not a doctor issue. She is wonderful and I would recommend her to everyone!

Everyone who gives zIyer good reviews should remember that they send people into a lions den.

It's been almost 4 years since I met Dr. Iyer, I was pregnant on my first. She was a wonderful Dr, very professional and always smiles a lot. She is very sweet and made me comfortable every visitation. Now, I am pregnant with my 2nd, how I wish she was close by. Thanks Dr. Iyer for taking care of me and kid ;)

All the positive reviews for Iyer are written by the same person using same words ( she is "on top" of everything). What a lie. She is indeed rude, cruel, sadistic, looks down on patients, has 0 compassion and understanding. Her exams and treatments are unberably painful, the whole birthing experience- plain awful. I refuse to call her a "doctor". She is Iyer the Butcher. Avoid her at any costs. I hate her with all my heart.

Just met Dr Iyer the other day. She seems to be a awesome Doctor and was on top of everything. I think we made a excellent choice.

Dr. Iyer has been one of the best physicians I have had. She has always been exceptionally polite and professional and has always been on top of her game when it came to my physical well being. She has been open to questions that I have asked her and in many situations, has helped to guide me through various phases of my "hormonal life". She even offered to help me speak to my teen age daughter going away to college about possible scenarios she should be aware of when it comes to her body. I AM SOOOO very greatful for that. Recently, I had to relocate to AZ and will no longer have her as a physician, however; I wanted to make it a point to refute the comments others have made on this site. I am unsure if they may have a problem with her "style", "professionalism as a female", or what... but I am flabbergasted by their comments. I have always seen my physicians as my consultants about my body, not my best friend. I trust that my doctor will tell me the truth so that I can best handle any conditions I have and that is what Dr. Iyer has done. If I could give her more than 5 stars I would and I would strongly recommend her to anyone wanting a strong and self-confident ObyGyn and woman guiding them through the various phases of our "hormonal" lives. Dr. Iyer, you will be missed!!

This pregnancy was made horrible by this practice. Horrible wait times usually 30 or more minutes. (average as 45 minutes). Rude/rough Doctors, rude staff (loudly arguing with patients), their billing department cannot seem to get anything right. The birthing process was horrible. Our nurse called Dr. Iyer several times during my labor where she was told to make me wait. Our nurse was forced to look for back ups. she appeared when my baby was crowning. She then delivered my baby and expressed how excited she was to be able to catch the next football game! She did a horrible job stitching me back up. Follow up appointments doctors told me my stitches were "loose" but they could fix it. The list goes on... stay away from womens first health.

I wish I would have read these reviews before I went to her for my yearly pap. I thought it was because I was in menopause that she was rude and could have cared less. She never asked about concerns and codnt wait to get out the door. Now I see she treats everyone like she's better than they are. I wod never recommend Anita iyer to anyone !

I can not belive how pompous and arrogant this Dr. is! Her bedside manor is appalling. She talks down to you and is very flippant with her answers. When vovoicing concerns about a c-section she ignored my concerns and kept telling me how simple the procedure was and how she had done so many. She totally bypassed my previous health issues and kept telling me how amazing she was. If you want to feel like a doctor could care less about you, your health, and your child go to her.

She delivered my first child. She was rude to my doula, rude to my family and I when we asked questions. She was in a hurry and rude. She made my birth experience not as happy and joyous as I had expected, I felt like I was just another number and she could careless about me or my child. I hope to never see her again and when we have our second child I will seriously debate changing obgyn practices to avoid her.
