Had an appointment with this guy. No call 20 min in, then 30 min in still waiting. I contact the office and they say “oh that’s your appointment time ‘range’”. This isn’t the cable provider or an electrician, I shouldn’t have some “range” of time within a 1 hour slot. Therapy has a set time frame. This method is extremely inconsiderate of people’s time. They basically want you to block off 2 hours of your day for a 1 hour appointment that will take place at their convince. I also kept getting odd text notifications from this office with changing appointment times. Overall a really strange experience in which I don’t think they have their stuff together. I’ll be continuing my search.

I have been seeing Dr. Bindal for 1 year now. My journey started with moving to San Diego to join this Pharma company, and within 2 months, I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. That’s when my path crossed with Dr. Bindal. He sees patient within few days and constantly saw me every 2 weeks to get over the doom. I’m recovering now, and in much better spirits. But I don’t know what would I have done without his help and care. I wish him nothing but happiness and would definitely give him 6 out of 5 stars if I could.

Subject says it all. He is just a good good human being, and genuinely cares about well being about his patients. If you just walk into his practice, you are surrounded by just good vibe about him from everyone. Highly recommend. He is not your guy if you are wanting him to give you certain type of medications, or not willing to accept your core problems and real willingness to change.

He is just a God send to me and my husband. We both see him. We are so thankful that he is so passionate about what he does and his positive energy drives all of us. I am a retired attorney and had a very successful career. However in the past 1 year, I had been traumatized by so much stress. Not only did Dr. Bindal help me in identifying my condition correctly (although I was in denial of my own existence of depression), but also recommended this new technology, TMS. I have not felt this much better ever before. Both Jake (my husband) and I, wholeheartedly, recommend Dr. Bindal highly. He is just the best!

I found this doctor while looking for psychiatrists currently accepting patients for treatment of anxiety. AND, I was not disappointed at all. Scheduling is super easy, I was able to get in to see him within 2 days of my call. The front staff was very compassionate. He was able to address most of the stated issues in a very time efficient manner. He was thoroughly professional and very knowledgable in his treatment for these conditions. Will definitely recommend him highly. Pros: Ease in scheduling, very time efficient, extremely well rounded professional care, compassionate Cons: Very limited prescription of addicting drugs (which is an advantage for me, as I have history of abuse), doc limits conversations to patient care quickly aka less mushy (no nonsense, cut the crap and jump to patient care). I have seen close to 20 different "psychs", but I know I have found the one that I need. A lot of people from our PTSD group see Dr. Bindal and have benefitted from his treatment. We all do like him very much!

Went in for a previous correct diagnosis but he didn't even ask me questions until he assumed it was anxiety and depression. I had not even sat in the chair before he was ready to write a script for that. That's just weird. He doesn't have magic, or does he think he is psychic, I mean that's how he acted...

Our community lost a great great doctor. He was such a blessing to Yuma. :(

Tremendous Doctor. Highly recommend

I am delighted to write this review for Dr. B! Very experienced doc, not reflected by his age. I will start with the negatives first: I think he spends less time building rapport, which is understandable considering his massive patient load, and long wait times to get in his schedules. He jumps straight to clinical management, so expect less personal questions and more focussed problem solving questions. Positives: Great great great clinical acumen. Treats mental health problems aggressively and appears very passionate about patient care. Very straight on approach - does not beat around the bush. Have been seeing him for 3 years now and although, I must admit, initially I disliked his straigh approach, his treatment eventually has made such a positive impact on my personal and professional life. I went from wanting to be on home, maybe on disability, to working hard and now the manager of one of the establishments. All through out he maintained a very professional, concise, problem solving approach. Will recommend him to anyone, who are really wanting to accept their real problems, and are committed to getting better.

I went to see Dr. Bindal a week after my baby turned one year old because I was concerned that my post-partum depression and anxiety had not subsided and in some ways seemed much worse. In addition, five family members had recently passed away, my relationships were in turmoil and I felt completely alone in the world. After approximately ten minutes of face time with Dr. Bindal which consisted of a series of vague yes or no questions such as "have you had unstable relationships?" and "do you have trouble regulating your emotions?" I was prescribed an anti-depressant, told to see a counselor and sent on my way. On my way out I was given a copy of my chart which revealed that the doctor had diagnosed me with a major personality disorder. I will go ahead and say it, despite my embarrassment - Borerline Personality Disorder. I found it incredibly offensive and stigmatizing. Here I am going through a great ordeal, reaching out for help and I am categorized as having a major personality disorder and ironically not given any help! He did not even take the time to explain the diabosis or inform me of it. I was only made aware by looking at my chart. The doctor not once asked me about my current circumstances or what other factors could have influenced my current state. I was very hurt and disappointed in this doctor and his lack of empathy, problem solving skills, ability to relate to his patients and complete neglect in communication.

Hands on doctor. Practices holistic care. Excellent excellent excellent care. The guy knows his stuff.

Very coordinated. Makes it a point to address sleep issues, which is a plus. Genuinely cares for your health. During the previous visit, he told me, "Before I help you I want to make sure I don't do anything to harm you"; which just made me feel glad and safe that I chose him as my psychiatrist. Very impressed.

Let me start with the cons first: I had a horrible time scheduling an earlier visit and waited for a good 2 months before I could see him due to his busy schedule. Pros: Excellent clinician. Knows about your core problem and attempts to treat them. I felt horrible initially but persisted with his treatment and IT WORKS! I would recommend him highly however I wish he had more open scheduling to allow for earlier appointments.

I went to Dr. Bindal for treatment of anxiety, PTSD and Bipolar Disorder. The guy is legit. I have been to 4 other psychiatrists in Scottsdale and Phoenix before and came to him to resume care. He was very courteous, professional and thorough. I researched on him before and he is trained in really good schools which shows in his unique patient centered care. My wife is his patient as well, and I'm amazed how he has different approaches towards treatment for each individual. We are both very happy with him and will definitely recommend him highly. I read the previous post. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. That's not the feedback I've heard from others.

I have had a few visits with Dr. Bindal. I found him to be very straightforward and no nonsense. At the same time, he listens to what I have to say attentively and provides good and clear recommendations. His treatment overall has already improved my quality of life. I highly recommend him for psychiatric care. One down side is that scheduling is not the best.

I have been treated for clinical depression since 1990. I have seen dozens of psychiatrists, psychotherapists, and primary doctors regarding this affliction, and I have NEVER been treated so poorly. I went to see Dr. Bindal for help in reducing my antidepressants and blood tests for high stress hormones, which I believe is the root of my depression. Instead, he wanted to double my antidepressants, have a second sleep study with Dr. Shah, whose prior sleep study I considered to be a waste of time and money, and a transition therapy to help me quit drinking. I was shocked by his recommendation, but I did my research and decided I would try his treatment plan with some modifications. I engaged the support of my son, my only care giver, and had him go with me to my follow up appointment. I prepared myself to make this commitment, which took a lot of effort on my part. I explained again to Dr. Bindal what I thought I could do, and he became very angry that I had not already complied with his treatment. At this point Dr. Bindal turned on me demanding why I had not complied and I asked him if he was chastising me. My son offered to explain again since he could tell I was getting upset. Then Dr. Bindal told my son "Go wait outside." I told Dr. Bindal that if my son left, I was leaving too. Dr. Bindal made no effort to stop us from leaving. The only recommendation I would make re: Dr. Bindal is DON"T subject yourself to this experience. He is arrogant, demeaning, intimidating, controlling, and rude. He has no business being in the mental health care profession.
