I recently started seeing Dr Swietlik as my diabetes went out of control. She changed my meds and within 3 months my A1C went from 8.2 to 5.8 . She is a no nonsense kind of a Dr, which I greatly appreciate, however she takes time to answer all questions

Dr. Swietlik is a compassionate doctor who has helped me get my diabetes under control and I've lost weight too! She takes the time to listen and you can tell she truly cares.

I’ve been a longtime patient of hers, and though I like who she is, as a doctor I couldn’t recommend. She’s cut me off while trying to ask questions and has not spent more then two mins (if that) in the room with me. Sadly, I feel as though she rushes through her patients to get to leave. Dr. Anna Szafran-Swietlik is cautious and thorough. I've been suffering for so long while the Veterans' Administration has ignored my symptoms and complaints. Anna Szafran-Swietlik is an excellent doctor. She is both professional and intelligent plus she listens to her patients. I usually have questioned some requiring detail answers. During my appointments I always have my previous and current blood work results. She patiently answers all my questions comparing the results. I have recommended her to other individuals. RSF

I have had type1 diabetes for 51 years, and this is the first dr. who took the time to give suggestions/advice after listening to me, rather than enter the room with a preconceived formula or plan. Great bedside manner and knowledge. This is the best control of my blood sugar that I have ever had.

After experiencing some problems last spring related to diabetes, I was unable to secure an appt. with the only endocrinologist in my area. I took the first appt. I could get at the Diabetes Care Center & happily I was scheduled with Dr. Szafran-Seietlik. From my first visit she made me feel comfortable & put me at ease. Follow up visits & tweaking my medication helped me more than my PCP. Very compassionate & caring, takes more than enough time to listen to my concerns & treatment.

The Dr. found a nodule on my thyroid that she didn't think was cancer. Thought I had an infectious disease because of how I was feeling, yet all blood work was coming back normal. I myself asked to be tested for Hashimoto's which came back positive, yet she didn't seem to care as she didn't say anything about it other then my test came back positive. She did do a FNA on my nodule which she seemed to have some issues performing. Results came back indeterminate and she still said she didn't think it was cancer. I ended up going to another Dr. for another opinion who said I should consider surgery considering I had 1 nodule, the location of it, the structure of it and how I was feeling. I went for surgery and it turned out to be pappillary carcinoma follicular variant - infiltrative. I'm glad I didn't listen to her and went elsewhere.

Dr. Sweitlik is very smart and very caring - I'm very happy with her care of my Thyroid Cancer.

I am most grateful to Dr.Swietlik for her care and the measures she took in explaining my diagnosis to me and treating it. She is very professional, cares about her patients and is engaged in all aspects of patient care. Truly grateful for having her as my doctor.
