Dr. Annmarie Mazzocchi, MD

Excellent physician!

I hated when she left her practice in Greensboro. The "children" that took over where horrible. Dr. Mazzochi was always so caring and didn't make me diagnose myself. Did research and gave me prompt referrals when needed. Also worked me in anytime I had an urgent issue. Her staff would even check up on me whenbreferred out.

Dr.Mazzochi is the worst kind of doctor. She was my Dr. for 12yrs. then for no apparent reason she refused to talk to me and asked me to leave her practice. I was shocked and hurt by her actions. My family went though alot of stress because of this. If she needed help she should have reached out. She a coward. She should never be allowed to practice medicine against.

I have been Dr. Mazzocchi's patient for 23 years. My daughter was her patient, and when my elderly mother moved here in her mid-80's, Dr. Mazzocchi was her caregiver also. Throughout all of these years, with many, many interactions, I have always found Dr. Mazzocchi to be very caring, spending as much time with me as necessary. She is always very empathetic with whatever was going on with me or my family members. She is always very realistic, clear in her thoughts and ways of explaining things, In my 66 years, she is the best doctor I have ever had.

Not since Dr. Carl Beavers passed have I been able to find a doctor as wonderful and caring as Dr. Anne! The staff at Pioneer now are cold and unconcerned about their patients and only care about doing what they have to do to keep you quiet. My mother is an alzheimers patient and was taken to several doctors before Dr. Anne and was finally diagnosed by her! We knew there was a huge problem but needed confirmation and she gave us that, now we are lost without her! We are in the final stages of the disease and to the point of driving an hour so she can see us and mom through to the end of this horrible disease that has taken our mom away from us mind wise....at least Dr. Anne helped the family cope and put us in touch with the hospice and palliative care group we need at this point....we all miss you and want you back in Stokes County! You are one in a million and needed here! PLEASE COME BACK!!!!!!!

She has been my doctor for 15 years, I have nothing but excellent things to say about her.

My experience with Dr, Mazzocchi was great. She was very caring and very patient. I never minded waiting because when she came to me, it was always in a caring manner. She always took the time to listen. I miss her at Family Medicine & wish she would come back. I have never meant anyone as caring as she was.

These ratings are based on the last few appointments I had with Dr. Mazzocchi. She changed practices and then stopped practicing in Greensboro. She is an excellent doctor and I hope she is, in fact, practicing in Stokes Co., as another review suggests. I am considering driving there to consult her again. Yes, an hour drive!

She goes through the motions but is really very impatient. Seems disorganized and harried. Best if you are first appointment AM or right after lunch. Always a long wait otherwise. Staff is of poor quality, unprofessional, rude and make many errors, incapable of getting messages straight, so any communication with doctor outside of exam is hopeless. Has recently shut down practice so this may be moot. Just up and left one day without warning and no one to cover her patients. Unreal.

Excellent person and physician. In my opinion, she was a victim of the medical conglomerates that ruled her practice as well as incompetent staffing at times. She didn't have the support staff or assistance to manage the office or patients and in the end we all suffer by losing her. My best wishes to her and hopes she may return in the future with an office that runs smoothly and supports her.

She was an excellent doctor. I am disappointed and in total shock her patients were not notified of her leaving. I will definitely miss her and I wish her the very best because she took care of me for many many years... Best of luck Doc!

I am very sad that Dr. Mazzocchi has left the practice of medicine so abruptly. I can only think it must be a combination of stress/depression that would cause her to give up without even notifying her patients. She was my doctor for 25 years; for 24 of those years she was outstanding; during the last year she seemed disinterested, hyper-critical and incredibly tired. On one occasion she thought I was rude to her nurse so she spent 30 minutes furiously criticizing me for various issues and finally refused to treat me, forcing me to make another appointment. I forgive her, though, for being human; and just wish for all of our sakes, including hers, that her leavetaking could have been different. I wish her well and hope that she is able to find something less stressful - perhaps a small practice in a small town - for at her best she WAS the best.

The secretary at her Novant-owned practice says she's "resigned and is no longer practicing medicine" (very weird). She was wonderful as a GP for the past five years, and I loved her manner, her diagnostic skills, her caring, and her hugs. But I have to admit she was very tired with the business of being a doctor, and was fading in her energy this past year. Her departure, with no notice to patients, is abrupt and unprofessional. A bad end for a wonderful physician.

I love Dr. Mazzocchi!! I had a lot of medical issues that no one could figure out until I went Dr. Mazzocchi. She spends time with you, remembers you, is interested in you and your life. She loves her patients and takes very good care of them!!!

I am qualified to comment on Dr. Mazzocchi, probably more than any of her patients. I have been going to her for 28 years. She greets me with a hug and a kiss and then LISTENS to me. There is a problem with the wait to get in, but that is because she will take all the time she needs to with you when she is with you. I do not mind waiting for the best doctor in town. She is so busy because she is so good. She took my husband as a patient when I got married 4 years ago. Just because he was my husband. She normally cannot accept new patients because she is so busy. Dr. M. diagnoised a problem I had that literally saved my life a few years ago. She sent me directly to a neurosurgeon instead of having me go to doctor after doctor. My brother-in-law, a thoracic surgeon, said he has never heard of family doctor being that good at diagnoisis.I cannot say enough good about Dr. M. She is caring, warm and an excellent doctor. If she does not know what is wrong with me, she will say so and work with me till we figure it out. You will be lucky to have her for your doctor.

Just figured I would counter the other person's rating and assessment. I have been going to this doctor for years and she has always been spot on and has a great bedside manner. I was misdiagnosed 3 times by doctors at Primecare before going to her and having a 2 month bronchitis infection fixed. Also helped me with mental wellness issues and recommendations
