Dr. Anthony George Farina, MD

Worst primary care place I’ve ever been to. Scheduled an appt upon arriving 30mins early to take a Covid test was then told they wouldn’t see me and sent me to urgent care, no explanation. On top of that they schedule follow-ups without speaking with me and then call a day before appointment to tell me. I would never refer anyone to this place. I then left a 1-star review on google and he claims I never had an appointment, well I call his office at 9am spoke with a receptionist who told me she made 2:15 appointment, I showed up 30mins early to get a covid test and at that point was told to go to urgent care. This Doctors response when his office makes a mistake is to call his clients liars. If you care about your well being don’t go to this guy, he should have his license revoked, just google him

Farina is, without a doubt, the worst medical professional I have ever encountered. And his staff? somehow even worse. They are extremely under-qualified and combative. I was told by one of the staff that Farina is EXTREMELY abusive to the staff and therefore, they cannot hire qualified ones. Don't go here.

1. Dr is always busy, you'll be seen by one of his associates. 2. The referrals are sent very late, sometimes after the accepted time and you end up not being accepted by the insurance. 3. They charge you even for getting the blood tests results. 4. The stuff is not very cooperative. 5. waiting time

I would highly suggest looking for another doctor

I have been a patient in this office for years and am especially happy with Dr. Guitierrez and with the care in which Dr. Farina handles his staff and his office. I am always given an appointment when I need it and my prescriptions are always phoned to my pharmacy .

keep me waiting in the waiting room over a hour my appt. is 10:00am keep me on the phone for over a hour never answer then phone hangs up very bad the worst

I’m am 35 years old and have been seeing Dr. Anthony Farina & his staff since I left a pediatrician. So well over 15 years. I started seeing him when his office was on Smith St. Office staff was very friendly, thorough and made you feel like an important patient at this practice. Dr. Farina, also very thorough, easy to talk to and good at his job. Let’s fast forward to when the practice moved to the current building on Mineral Spring Ave. The office staff went down hill very quickly. Revolving door for them. New tech’s having no clue what they’re doing, front office staff becoming more rude & PA’s not caring about patient care. Since I found Farina to be a good doctor I accepted how his staff was. Shame on me. Once a year I’d go for my physical and I would always see a different doctor when I specifically request to see my Md. (not a lot to ask for). Numerous times staff putting the wrong records in my charts and vice versa. Today was the nail in the coffin. Dr Farina called me for a prescription refill and I informed him that I would be seeking a new primary and he had the audacity to say “I strongly recommend that, I don’t like the way you spoke in my office last time”. Then proceeded to hang up on me while I was still speaking to him. This is a man I trusted with my health care for the last 15 years and couldn’t have the decency to have a conversation with me (his patient) like a human being. Just goes to show you the level of professionalism on his part, or lack there of. Yes, my last visit I was very rude to his staff because they yet again stuck me with another PA for my physical & were VERY disorganized. So this was the straw that broke the camels back. How much can one person take with nonsense at each visit. Dr. Farina is you read this I hope you know how very disappointed I am in the way you treated me. For anyone thinking about going to this practice please don’t! I’m sure you will see hundreds and hundreds of bad reviews. Mine is just a small story of how bad he and his staff is.

THIS DR HAD ME GOING EVERY 4 WEEKS FOR NOTHING. AS FOR MY MEDS CVS PHARMACY HATE HIM. NEVER GOT MY MEDS ON TIME OR NEVER FILLED THEM. AS FOR HIS STAFF I COMMEND THEM FOR PUTTING UP WITH IS IGNORANT ATTITUDE TOWARD THEM. YOU GIRLS WERE ALWAYS SO GOOD TO ME. I FEEL BAD FOR YOU ALL. WALK OUT HE`LL BE LOST WITHOUT YOU .I`M BLESSED TO HAVE MET YOU ALL.CALLING THE DEPARMENT OF ELDERLY AFFAIRS ON HIM . PLEASE DON`T GO THERE.

This doctor holds you hostage for your medications by having you go in monthly, which is ridiculous. You never see the doctor, only PAs who come and go like through a revolving door. There is absolutely no continuity of care and on my last visit there, my file was missing so I never did get my test results. Farina had my 96 year old mother going in every 3 weeks as well for follow-up visits. On one visit, she twisted her foot attempting to get into the car and broke it. She ended up in a nursing home for months. This doctor is rude to the point of being a bully. His staff hates him and as soon as they find other jobs, they leave. In the past year, I have had 5 different PAs and they were all exhausted and stressed to the point of not being able to do a decent job. I am so sorry I lost my fabulous internist and ended up with this maniac. Take a look at the channel 10 video to get a good idea as to who you are dealing with. Awful experience. The absolute worst.

Most horrible doctor or if that is what he calls himself

Any good reviews are done by the them. This is the most unprofessional dr.office ever. The staff has no clue what they are doing. The front office staff is rude and you can hear them saying they cannot stand their job. The dr screams and swears at his staff which i have never seen before anywhere else.i keep getting calls from a man saying the dr wants me to come in for a follow up. I do notneed all these follow ups. Do not go here. They will run your insurance into the ground

I love this practice, I been a patient of Doctor. Farina for over 20 years and I will stay with him forever!

Dr. Farina is an outstanding doctor, he helps his patients and treats everyone with the out most respect.

Dr malcolm left and now works at the providence clinic. Do not want to go to north prov primary anymore because they do not fill my heart medications unless i keep going every month to see them. I called my insurance to file a complaint as well. I will call prov center clinic to see dr malcolm again.

I no longer go here this yr because they have you come back for follow up appts every 3-4 wks.I called my insurance too to let them know. If you do not go every month they would not refill my insulin or heart meds!!! My pharmacy called them daily and told me they go thru this with all their patient refills. Everyone should find a better dr. Office. And dr. Farina screams at his employees like a maniac and verbally abuses his staff. That is why new ppl there every wk

Filthy office and restrooms. Secretaries are very rude. And why do we have to sit in the waiting room for hours having to listen to this Dr. Scream and berate his employees. So glad I finally chose to go somewhere else this year.

Dr. Farina is a very knowledge and professional practitioner, he is very caring for his patients and treats everyone with respect.

I am looking for a new doctor's office. I don't blame the staff. They are trained to get people in to make money. I was there 2 weeks ago and forgot to ask for a refill on my meds. I had my pharmacy call. The office refused to fill the prescription until I came in for an appointment (I was just there). Mind you, it wasn't a narcotic just one of my normal meds that I have been taking for years. At this appointment, I had given them my new insurance and then receive bills because they were using my old insurance, with the threat for collections. I call the office for an appointment and have been hung up on. The reason I haven't switched yet is because I used to see Dr. Malcolm. He was "let go" because he wanted to take time to be with his wife when she had their first child. Now there is no reason for me to come here. This office is ridiculous. I had some testing done and went in for results. I had made the appointment 2 weeks after the testing, so they had plenty of time to get the result. Also, when I checked in, they asked me why I was there. I told them for results. After sitting in a room for 1 hour and 15 minutes, which gave them plenty of time to get the results, I was told to come back because they didn't have them. When I went back again so they could get the results, they wanted me to pay another co-pay!!! I could go on and on. BEWARE AND STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! They just find ways to make you come back to get your money!!
