Where do I begin? Dr. Costa has been treating both of my knees for two years. They’re both bone on bone. I decided to get a knee replacement on my left knee. Scheduled for June 2 at Riverview Hospital. At the post-op appoint I met Bobbi, Physician Assistant. She showed me the ex-ray that was taken when I arrived. I was simply amazed. My left knee looked like an arrow and my right knee looked like a bow. It’s a small miracle! The recovery is a little painful but well worth it! I came home walking with a walker! It’s 3 weeks and I can stand without the walker. I cannot stand for more than 30 minutes approximately. I can absolutely feel the difference. About Dr. Costa? GOD blessed him with a brilliant mind. He used his mind diligently throughout his educational career. The result is an absolutely gifted surgeon. As far as his character? He’s empathetic, caring, honest, and kind. I’ll be s part of his life because I’m getting a knee replacement on my right knee in October. I cannot wait! So GOD BLESS him all of the days of his life! ??

There is no question as to why Dr. Costa is the most sought after orthopedic surgeon in Monmouth County. He is a brilliant surgeon who has earned the trust of his fellow MD’s when they need a hip or knee replacement. Our family dermatologist needed one of these surgeries and sought out Dr. Costa for help. My wife met with him recently regarding her knee pain. She told me that she was amazed at how well I had Recovered from my knee replacement and would want him to do the surgery for her. But after studying her X-ray and her knee itself, he told her what she needed was physical therapy, not surgery. Dr. Costa was kind, caring and provided a full explanation of my ailing knee. Currently, I am now able to continue my daily activities without knee pressure & stiffness. This facility is well-run and staff is very efficient.

Unfortunately we didn’t have a chance to meet with this doctor because of the staff member Margaret who honestly gives very bad impression of this practice.She was very talkative, asking for a Christmas present for scheduling an appointment, dishonest,didn’t want to do her job and behaved very shady instead of verifying our insurance info.I hope doctors will see my review and correct this situation.Its an embarrassment to have unprofessional person like her in the office and to deal with patients.I had a feeling like someone is trying to sell us something which is not fresh anymore.Me and my husband decided not to go.I am a medical professional and very familiar with insurance verification protocol and how it should be handled.

My experience with my knee replacement was excellent. Surgery went well. I felt relief from my pain , the therapy went smooth. After 6 months Dr Costa did my other knee. Dr is compassionate, listens to your concerns and will explain in terms you can understand. I recommend Dr. Costa to all who need a knee or hip replacement. Excellent Dr.

Dr. Costa performed a Complete Right Hip Joint Replacement surgery on me and I was walking the same day after surgery. I am now walking without PAIN!!! I was experiencing terrible left hip pain. I was told how excellent of a surgeon and how wonderful Dr. Costa was so I went for a consultation. His staff was so friendly and after X-rays were taken, I got to meet him. He made me feel so at ease during the consult and went over my X-rays that revealed my left hip joint was totally gone. So Dr. Costa recommended a total hip replacement using the anterior approach. I had the surgery and it was so successful! I was walking the same day of surgery!

Dr. Costs did a hip replacement on my father who is 74 years old and still skis. My dad put off hip replacement surgery since he thought there would be too many restrictions after. Just got back from the follow check up and Dr. Costa told my Dad he can continue skiing and everything else he enjoyed doing before the surgery. My Dad said he should have done this 3 years ago if he had know it was going to go so well. Dr. Costa is a God Send. I was at every visit and the surgery and Dr. Costa really cares about each of his patients.

He uses the latest procedures. He is highly respected by all at the Hospital and at the Physical Therapy office. When I said I used Dr. Costa it was like I had said "God". I was told he is the BEST and He is.

Dr. Costa is an example of what a top surgeon is all about. out of a scale 1 to 10, I would give him a 12.

I interviewed 4 orthopedic surgeons before meeting Dr. Costa. He was recommended to me by a friend whose sister and friend both had successful knee and hip reconstructive surgeries with Dr. Costa. One of the first things that impressed me about Dr. Costa is that he is an excellent listener. So many drs. seem preoccupied or distracted but Dr. Costa looks directly at you and never makes you feel rushed (although you know he is busy). He answered all of my questions and concerns. He was very kind and instilled a strong sense of confidence that I had finally found the correct surgeon to reconstruct my knee. Three months later and my knee has healed beautifully and functioning perfectly and without pain. My new knee is stronger than my old knee. I am thrilled with the results of Dr. Costa's knee reconstructive surgery. A note about the hospital: I was only in the hospital for two nights. It is true you are encouraged to get up and walk the very day of surgery and I did. Pain was well managed and I felt well cared for. I am eternally grateful to Dr. Costa and his staff - particularily Tiffany for their wonderful support and many kindnesses.

Words can't fully express my gratitude to Dr. Costa for his God given talent. I have been suffering with osteoarthritis of my knees for at least the last five years. Last year, he replaced my left knee and, a year to the date this February, my right. I can function again. I can walk for long distances, play with my grandchildren again and run, yes run, with no problems. I feel as if I was reborn. I know it sounds overstated, but you never really realize how much you lost, until you regain your ability to move as you should. He truly is gifted. Everything about his is exemplary: he takes time to answer any questions you may have and is never rushed. His method of replacement surgery/treatment is cutting edge. Recuperation was uneventful. In short, he is a sensitive, caring and beyond talented. I will always be grateful to Dr. Costa.

Dr. Costa is an amazing Orthopedic Surgeon. His up to date and surgical procedure allows for quick recover with less discomfort. He takes time with you and explains thoroughly what is happening in a very understandable manner. Dr. Costa was the third surgeon I consulted with. He and his staff are very professional, thorough and kept me well informed before and after my surgery. He advised, that for my age and fitness I was a good candidate for a bilateral hip replacement. Surgery was done in fall and was very successful.
