Dr. Anthony Jun Kwon, MD

Dr. Kwon has treated me for spine problems on several occasions, including an emergency disc laminectomy and later a fusion. I liked, respected and trusted him.

I need a neck surgery and I searched in met with surgeons in both Florida and North Carolina and after meeting with about five different surgeons I decided on Tony Kwon. Other surgeons were actually talking about how good he was and when I met with him I could see why. My neck was in bad shape and creating other problems in my upper extremities. Tony met with me and I got the most positive vibes. I told him that I had young children and I needed to be able to stay active for their sake. After the surgery I had ZERO complications and no side effects. I had full range of motion and after two months I was back in the gym weight lifting again. It has been 11 months since my surgery in my life has changed. My neck actually feels like it was better then it was before the injury! After speaking with Tony post-surgery we discussed that I was probably going to be good for life with the surgery and I could not be more pleased. I am I family will be forever grateful to Tony for the amazing job he did. Do not make a mistake by using a different surgeon!!!!! Tony is the best! Scott W.

Dr. kwon has been seeing my daughter Brianna for quite awhile she was diagnosed with scoliosis on her back.. This year as she grew her spine took a turn and it was suggested to proceed with the surgical procedure. Doctor Kwon was magnificent with no major issues or problems and Brianna is very happy with the outcome.

I want even rate this doctor he dosent even deserve a raiting. Mabey a - 10 He started a surgery on me, Feb. 2017, cut a blood vesel could not get it to stop bleading. Stopped the surgery. I have been in pain every day sence. I am sorry that i picked Dr Quan to do surgery on me. It seems like my body is getting worse every day.

I had to wait 3 wks for a appointment to see doctor Kwon regarding a very painful chronic spine conditions. My appointment was may 16th 19 at 10:15 am, unfortunately there were traffic jams due to graduations that took place that morning, I called doctor Kwon's office to let them know I was delayed due to the traffic back up. The office allowed a extra 15 for latest, I was 18 min late and they canceled my appointment saying I needed to reschedule my appointment. No one can control having to set in traffic for 20 min. However, I expected better from Doctor Kwon's office after waiting 3 wks for my appointment. I had to go to the ER, my cat scan snowed multiple bulging disc of the spine, one serious, causing numbness in my feet and legs. ER doctor advise me to see a spine specialist ASAP. This could have been avoided, I the office of Dr Kwon at Total Spine , on Randolph Road in Charlotte, NC cared more about the patients and less about the time allotted for reach patient ??

He has gone above and beyond to take care of my unique and complicated delicate spine problem. I feel so much better I have had life long back pain and connective tissue disorder.thank you and your team Dr Kwon

Dr. Kwon performed my second surgery on my lower back. He’s not only the best doctor for spine surgery, he has the best bedside manner. He Clearly explains all details, and is a good listener. I would not want any other doctor performing this type surgery on me.

I had back surgery a year ago and I am extreme pain .Have had very little help since.

I STAY ON HOLD FOR 10 MINUTES AND THEN THEY HANG UP WITHOUT ANSWERING. CARE IS HORRIBLE.

I had neck injection that didn't work and needed either more injections or another treatment or medication because I was still in discomfort. They did nothing, instead they sent me to some other doctor who does the same thing. I was lost, didn't understand what was going on, they said we don't do long term, bye. That was it, one treatment. Go somewhere else is all I can say, I was highly disappointed.

Two thumbs up for Dr. Kwon! After being diagnosed with a degenerative disc between my L4 and L5 which prevented me from walking being my Sciatic nerve other various nerves and muscles were affected in my lower back region the doc recommended surgery by putting in a new replacement disc with a fusion. The operation was a total success and I am so appreciative of Doctor Kwon`s skills. I`m writing this review 2 months after my surgery and though the healing takes some time which is expected having the ability to walk again is well worth the procedure. Walking is part of my recovery and look foward to my walking exercises every day.

Dr Kwon is so thorough and competent! He genuinely cares for his patients. Would highly recommend Dr. Kwon for anyone needing back surgery.

Was amazing! I can't believe anyone that would say anything bad about Dr. Kwon. My neighbor has has surgery by him, our pastor at our church as well as me and everyone loves him! I am 68 years old and just came back from a week at Disney with my grandchildren. We walked everywhere and I didn't have to stop! I have a little bit of numbness in my toes still but none of the pain I had before. He did warn me that with my diabetes that may happen, but I can live with numb toes. Thank you for my life back Dr Kwon! PS- I had surgery over a year ago but felt compelled to write a review after recommending him to yet another friend.

I am a mother of a daughter who has scoliosis and underwent successful surgery by Dr. Kwon. I couldn't have been happier with the result or Dr. Kwon. I had been to 2 other surgeons and already knew that she needed surgery, but was so nervous. Dr. Kwon was the only doctor to really explain anything and take the time to actually talk to my daughter. Can you imagine that of all the surgeons, they spoke just to me and not my Sophia who was the patient (she was 15 by the way, so not a baby)?! well that convinced me that he was the one. After seeing how straight her spine was, she actually cried she was so happy. the xrays are amazing. I can't believe the difference. DR. Kwon will always have a special place in the hearts of our whole family

I enjoyed meeting Dr. Kwon. Diagnosis was dead on, the only thing I didn't like was is nurse diagnosed me and suggested my plan of correction before I was ever seen by the actual Dr. I didn't like that at all!

Dr. Kwon was referred to me by a friend who had the same back issue as mine. He had very successful surgery earlier this year. I found Dr Kwon to be very patient, thorough in answering all questions, and clear about what my surgery would entail. I had the spinal fusion surgery on Oct 26. The surgery was very successful, I could feel the pain relief immediately after the surgery. I am recovering quickly and look forward to returning to all activity (tennis, racquetball, etc) in the very near future. Highly recommend Dr Kwon.
