Dr. Anurag Sharma, MD

Dr. Sharma helped diagnose and care for my father at Hartford Hospital. He showed himself to be a very patient and compassionate individual in breaking the news of terminal cancer to my father. Dr. Sharma took the time to make certain that my very elderly and nearly deaf father heard and understood the diagnosis and prognosis, and also sat and talked and listened as my father told of his life and began to process what he had just learned. Later that day, Dr. Sharma telephoned me in another part of the country to explain the situation to me and answer my questions. Both with my father and with me, Dr. Sharma seemed as if he would take as much time as we needed and give us all the answers we requested. Although I have never met him in person, I am grateful to have had Dr. Sharma tend to my father and be the one to help him and to help me understand his terminal situation.

Dr. Sharma saved my life. He has been a great friend and one of the best doctors I have ever interacted with. Dr. Sharma is not emotional distant like so many others in the field. He truly cares about his patients and it shows with the level of care you receive from him.

Met Dr Sharma for the first time and would say it was a pleasant experience. The Dr was thorough and professional. I feel I’m in good hands going forward.

In this time of stress from the diagnosis of cancer and the anxiety from the Covid virus, we were more than pleased to have a teleconference with Dr. Sharma. He explained the reports on biopsy and treatment plan, and was patient with our questions and concerns. Thank you Dr. Sharma for helping us visualize a plan and the journey before us.

Dr. Sharma is the best. Takes time to fully explain everything that's going on, what options are available and what to expect. He takes time to reassure you and make certain that you are completely aware of the plan for treatment. At every appointment I get the same time and care from him. I highly recommend Dr Sharma!

Dr Sharma is an excellent doctor. I had another oncologist before Dr Sharma and it was not a good experience. I found Dr Sharma and I'm very happy with him. He takes his time to explain your lab work and listening to questions. I dont feel rushed and he doesnt stay on the computer the whole time liked I've experienced with other doctors. I definitely recommend him to anyone who needs a knowledgeable doctor with a good bedside manner.

Dr Anurag Sharma is very attentive on to me on my visits. He is never in a hurry to get out of the room but always listen to my questions and concerns and answers in a timely manner. I’ve had to deal with several doctors over the last 2 years (new pcp, new rheumatologist, new dermatologist, and now hematology/oncologist). Dr. Sharma has a friendly and easy going approach.
