Dr. Ariel Niroomand Rad, MD

Background: I am a healthy male age 60. My story is a bit usual in that I sought treatment because of a past eye issue called Ectropion. A previous face lift performed several years prior to me seeing Dr. Rad, caused my eye left eye to sag and droop away from the eye. That prior surgery was not performed by Dr. Rad. Because of my Ectropion, I did not feel, nor believe, that my left eye was attractive looking. In my research to resolve and fix this Ectropion, I sought out several doctors who might be able to not only understand my concern about my eye, but also one who could delve right into the flaw and defect of my Ectropion, to resolve not only the physical nature of Ectropion, but also the aesthetics of my eye (and overall face). As I live in Tampa Florida, I had consultations with a half dozen local doctors. Each of my consultations with local Florida doctors turned out to be a waste of my consultation fee because the local doctors either thought that my eye was perfectly fine and that I could live with the slight droop and sag of my left lower eyelid or did not appreciate my aesthetics concern. As such, I broadened my search for doctors outside of Florida including Washington DC. That’s how and where I found Dr. Rad. Dr. Rad's website specifically states a procedure called "Cat Eye" Canthoplasty/Cantoplexy to help "one whose eyes tilt slightly downward and/or whose outer lower eyelid contours appear to be “sagging." Canthoplasty/Cantoplexy can help those who have Ectropion. As such, I made a consultation appointment with Dr. Rad at his Washington, DC office. Dr. Rad understood my concerns both physically and aesthetics, and advised me that Canthoplasty/Cantoplexy would resolve my Ectropion. I agreed to have Dr. Rad perform the "cat eye," along with a mid-face lift and eyebrow lift. Surgery: Dr. Rad was very attentive to my concerns right before surgery and calmed my nerves. Dr. Rad cares about his patients. Dr. Rad listened to any and all questions and concerns that I had prior to surgery, and answered them all. And after surgery, Dr. Rad took my phone call from his cell phone two days after surgery, when I had a few questions about my recovery. Having Dr. Rad "on-call" for my questions really impressed me. But more importantly, Dr. Rad answered my concerns about bruising and swelling. As you can imagine, just two days after surgery, a patient can have mental and physical stress/distress. Dr. Rad was there, to talk to me the first time I rang his cell phone. I felt assured after speaking with Dr. Rad about my condition and recovery. As I write this now, I am 3 months post-op. My Ectropion is completely gone. The "cat eye" procedure not only resolved my underlying issue of Ectropion, but also gave my eyes a fresher look. Yes, the eyes are slightly tilted like a cat, but not so much where it looks unusual. The bottom line is that I received exactly what I asked for: "cat eye" that resolved my Ectropion--forever! I thank Dr. Rad from start (consultation) to end (end of surgery and now several months post-op). I not only recommend Dr. Rad for his face surgeries, but I recommend that prospective patients see only Dr. Rad for any and all of your facial surgeries. Should I ever have another surgery on my face (though unlikely), it is mandatory for me to have it done by Dr. Rad. Thank you Dr. Rad for resolving my Ectropion! I never thought it could be done, especially after speaking to the local Florida doctors who seemed to brush my concerns aside. “Recommending” Doctor Rad is an understatement. I believe that a man or woman must go to Doctor Rad because of his skill and care for his patients.

My first surgery was with Dr. Rad- from start to finish everything about the experience was amazing. Dr. Rad and his team made me feel so comfortable. Each appointment he took his time answering all my questions and concerns. 3 months post opt, my results are better then I ever could’ve imagined and exceeded my expectations in every way. Best surgeon and best experience. Cannot recommend Dr. Rad enough!

From consult to post-op, Dr. Rad has been incredible. He is kind, LISTENS, and has stellar bedside manner. His work speaks for itself as he is the king of subtle changes and beautiful results. I would highly recommend him and would absolutely see him in the future should I desire more work.

At our initial meeting, Dr. Rad took the time to clearly explain what he was seeing and what he had in mind that could solve my aesthetic and breathing concerns. I had plenty of questions about the procedure and he thoroughly answered each one, which left me feeling prepared and ready to proceed. My rhinoplasty/septoplasty surgery was in February. Dr. Rad rightfully runs a tight ship, and the entire care team was top notch. He called me to check in a few days afterwards, and has always been a pleasure to talk with. I recently had my 7 week post op, and could not be happier with the results. He’s a fantastic doctor, an artist really, and the results only speak for themselves. I would highly recommend following him on social media so you can see for yourself. If I have any future aesthetic concerns, he’ll be the first person to which I turn.

Had a revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Rad as well as a lip lift. He gave me exactly what I wanted. Not only is he a skilled surgeon, he has an incredible aesthetic eye. Surgery recovery is always difficult, but I looked normal soon after and was able to resume daily activities after just one week.

I have to give Dr. Rad five stars for not only the good results from the surgery, but also for the after-care. I had minor complications that arose from the surgery (infection). Dr. Rad and his staff stayed in close contact and made sure that I fully recovered. I would highly recommended Dr. Rad if you are in the DC/VA region.

I wanted to find the best surgeon within a 100 miles to do my facial surgery. An extensive amount of research went into my decision to consult with Dr. Rad. I was not price shopping as that is not a risk I was willing to take with my face and I did not research the surgeries since I did not want to talk myself out of what I knew would be life changing. My first meeting with Dr. Rad convinced me I was making the right choice. I am 5 months post surgery and could not be happier with my results. They work together synergistically and seamlessly, and seeing Dr. Sherber was how I found Dr. Rad.

After interviewing what felt like dozens of surgeons, I chose Dr. Rad. This man is a genius of plastic surgery. I don't know how he does what he does, but it is as though the magic wand of youth swept over my face and gave me back what I remember from 20 years ago. My appearance is better than what any filter or face-improving app can offer, and best of all, it is really me. Of course the most magical of magic wands is not cheap. But if you want to look natural and oh so much better, go see him. It'll be worth your time and the investment. After all, it's your face.

After being diagnosed with breast cancer, cosmetic surgery was not my top priority. Dr Rad worked together with the breast surgeon to remove the cancer and Dr Rad gave me a necessary breast reduction (which I thought about before the cancer diagnosis) and a breast lift. He explained everything beforehand and he and his medical assistant were available before and after surgery. Highly recommend

I had a Mommy Makeover in 2021 and could not be happier with the results and the care I received by Dr. Rad. The results are even better than I could have hoped for----Dr. Rad is a skilled surgeon and I would even say he is an artist. :-) I look the best I have in years, actually ever! My abdomen is flat, muscles tightened, breasts perfectly positioned and proportionate. I had excess skin from years of gaining and losing weight and two c-sections. Dr. Rad is in high demand and has a busy schedule yet he made me feel as if I was the only patient he had. If I had questions, he promptly returned my call. He was patient, respectful, and reassuring. I would highly recommend Dr. Rad to anyone considering this procedure. He is board certified, competent, skilled, and a true expert in his field. The only regret I have is not having this procedure with Dr. Rad years ago!

I had a closed rhinoplasty with dr. Rad and my experience was very pleasant. He is knowledgeable and very passionate about his job. He paid very close attention to what I wanted and did an outstanding job explaining the procedure. His office is beautiful and private and his team was professional and caring. He explained the recovery process to me in great detail, and it happened exactly as he said it would. I am very happy with the results and pleased that I chose him. Doctor Ariel Rad is truly outstanding. I received a v-line jaw slimming and chin reduction surgery. He has aesthetically achieved my dream of what I envisioned. After close examination of numerous surgeons, Doctor Rad’s expertise in plastic surgery was undoubtedly the most remarkable. I had an amazing experience with Dr Rad. My results look completely natural. No one could ever tell I had anything done, yet to me it all made a world of difference. I believe that anyone who is considering facial plastic surgery, and, in particular, a rhinoplasty, should look for three main qualities in their surgeon (beyond his/her medical qualifications). Specifically, one should choose a surgeon (1.) who takes the time to truly listen to and understand what the patient’s aesthetic preferences are (2.) who clearly communicates the nuances of the procedure and what surgical method will be used, and (3.) who has ample evidence (i.e. testimonials, before-and-after pictures) demonstrating their ability to achieve desired results. In short, Dr. Rad excels across all three of these dimensions. During my initial consultation for a rhinoplasty, Dr. Rad spoke with me for nearly 45 minutes; he was attentive to what my preferences were and made me feel heard. His care and attention were unequivacal throughout the entire process - at my pre-opt appointment, beside my hospital bed before going into surgery, and they days following surgery as I called him with frantic questions. Dr. Rad also makes a concerted effort to explain how he performs a “closed” rhinoplasty and the way in which this surgical technique offers real benefits vis-a-vis an “open” rhinoplasty. To that end, his emphasis on safety made me feel relaxed and assured. Last but not least, Dr. Rad’s results speak for themselves. I can only attest to my own results, but put simply, I am over the moon. Dr. Rad gave me the nose I have dreamed about since I was a little girl — it is subtle and natural-looking but changes my entire face such that I feel more beautiful, more confident. I cannot thank him nor his professional staff enough. In summary, anyone who is considering a rhinoplasty should look no further.

Dr. Rad is an amazing plastic surgeon. After much research and meeting with different surgeons, I met Dr. Rad. I was impressed with his resume, though his personal & skilled approach to achieve the best results was apparent. He was able to explain everything clearly and ease my concerns. I ended up having a deep plane facelift, neck lift and eye lift (57 years old) and I look refreshed and natural - not pulled. I would highly recommend Dr. Rad to anyone looking for "the best surgeon"!
