Dr. Arif Mohammad Qazi, MD

Dr Qazi did my last colonoscopy. He was very kind and very thorough. I will be having another one next month. After meeting Dr. Qazi, my husband was satisfied and we scheduled his procedure as well. Dr. Qazi did a more through examination than our family doctor! Sept. 2020

I have always been treated with kindness and care by Dr. Qazi and staff. He never hesitated to put me in the hospital due to my diverticulitis, visited daily and really got upset as the food they had sent me from the hospital canteen included food I was not allowed to eat. He is a kind explained carefully what I could eat and what to avoid. I`ve never had another incident in over three years.

Doctor performs Endoscopy, comes back with issues and does not schedule a follow up, pawns me off on another doctor who also does not do a follow up. Patient is just a number ($$$$$) to this doctor.

Dr. Qazi is a gentle and caring doctor. He explains things carefully and in clear English. While I was in the hospital he was very supportive and I believe his actions resulted in saving my life. At his office wait time is not long staff is always professional and helpful. Office is clean and employees appear happy. mjm

I was the third patient he saw within 30 minutes. He didn't even look up at me, just typed on computer and checked his texts. Said he would set up endoscopy, and he was out of the room. While I realize acid reflux may be normal for people, I still wanted information as to what I needed to do to help it's affects, as well as understanding as to why I was having it. He just rushed me out the door. I have had bad doctors before, but he had the absolute bedside manner I have ever received.

Waited for almost an hour in office to see the doctor for the initial consult appointment; felt rushed during the initial appointment; not questioning medical skills and knowledge, however, I do not know that I'd recommend this doctor to others. In an effort to get a post-procedure report via the doctor's patient portal, was advised by staff that it "doesn't work", even though I received an e-mail that I could view the summary report/clinical information via this patient portal. Pointed that out to office staff but was advised that they "didn't know why that was in the email." Would suggest this link be removed if it is not, in fact, available to patients.

My 93 year old mother came in to Brandon Hospital with internal bleeding. Qazi was assigned to her. He came by her ICU room (didn't step inside) said he was going to do a colonoscopy and left. She did the colon prep and completed it for day for a 9:00 a.m. the next morning. He didn't show up to do the procedure until 3:30 with virtually no communication with the hospital. After the procedure, he showed us 4 pictures, said he couldn't complete because she wasn't cleaned out and would have to repeat it. In two face to faces with him, I think I saw him for a total of 2 minutes maximum with little or no opportunity to ask questions or discuss concerns.

I needed a colonoscopy and my previous doctor had retired so I started seaching for a doctor covered by my humana Ins. There were several to choose from but I went by the reviews of his patients and Dr Qazi had the best reviews. I was not disappointed. Dr Qazi’s front desk staff were very kind and friendly. That’s usually a good indicator of how the doctor is going to be and that’s exactly how Dr Qazi was. Professional but makes u feel at ease. Took time to explain procedures and asked if I had any questions or concerns. Colonoscopy went well and post-op visit was informative as Dr Qazi explained morefacts about the colon and eating the right foods. I would recommend Dr Qazi to anyone who needs a Gastroenterologist.

My Dr sent a referral to Dr Qazi's office,, stating the office would get a hold of me. After two weeks I wondered why I hadn't heard from them. When I called Dr Quazi's office I I was informed that if they get a referral and the patient isn't already their patient, they just delete you. They will not even contact your Dr and let them know they ar not interested. I had NEVER heard of such a practice!!!

He is one of the best Dr's in Brandon. The staff is great and the Dr takes time to do a check up and answer my questions.

Nice but bring something to do in the waiting room. It always takes an hour or more past your appointment time to get in. I am busy too and may need to find another dr that reapects my time also.

Dr. Qazi really cares about his patients and is completely thorough and diligent in his work. If I had this doctor ten years ago, I would not have the problems I now experience. Did not realize how negligent and lazy my last doctor was until it was too late.

Now that Judy is gone the office is wonderful! The front office staff is so nice and it is a better vibe overall there! Great doctor! I like how you see Dr. Qazi himself and not a PA or ARNP. Best GI doctor I have been to for sure ! And even better now that he has new Staff!!!

Dr. Qazi is the best doctor I have ever been to. He takes time with you and treats you with respect. I trust him with my life. Leah at the front desk always greets you with a smile and is willing to help with anything. She is respectful and nice unlike the other nurses there. Judy is rude and rolls her eyes to patients. She is so unorganized with papers everywhere never knows what she is doing. Has patients wait at checkout while she gets organized and tells her entire life story at check out no one cares lady just do your job schedule and let them leave. In my opinion Judy is bringing that office down. She is so rude to patients they don't want to come back. He needs better employees like Leah. Overall he is wonderful!

Was having issues with stomach and needed a colnoscopy. Dr. Qazi only performed the colonscopy and then when I complained about continued issues with my stomach then he did the endoscopy as well (which could have, and should have, been done at the same time). Information on follow up documents indicate he discussed x and y with me yet we only discussed z and it wasn't until I saw the information posted did I know about the other items/issues! Took very long to get an appointment and then follow up procedures and appointments.

I have heard from many people he is an excellent and compassionate doctor, BUT, if your office staff is horrible, I am not sticking around. When trying to make an appointment after a hospital visit I was yelled at by the woman on the other end of the phone that he doesn't fix hernias, ok, but i need to see him about something else and get established as a new patient. After thinking about this for a week, I called back to cancel the appointment I did make, SHE answered the call, when I canceled she said "fine, got it" and click. When I worked for a doctor we would at least ask if you wanted to reschedule
