Dr. Augusto A Miravalle, MD

As someone who was a patient of Dr. Miravelle's in Colorado, I can tell you that he is incredibly knowledgeable and has a really great bedside manner. He really cares about his patients!

Dr Miravalle was cordial, listened to my concerns and very reassuring.

Dr. Miravalle is incompetent. He implied my symptoms were in my head. They were- but not in the way he speculated. It was a brain tumor, and he missed it.

Trying to make an appointment for a severely ill adult child with suspected autoimmune encephalitis. Diagnosed with schizophrenia with severe cognitive dysfunction and with seizures. Have had follow up court appointed physicians (for evaluation of guardianship) indicate they suspect it may be organic. Was told by receptionist that Dr. Miravalle does not take these "types" of patients nor will he make appointments for guardians of severely ill patients to discuss treatment plans or options. The only way to get patient to physician is by police escort, therefore coordination of care is required but impossible. He was recommended on an autoimmune encephalitis site, but obviously, they have no Idea how this disease exhibits.

The first visit with Dr. Miravalle was very good. The second visit, his nurse badmouthed him, and the third and final visit today, I figured out why. When Dr. Miravalle is unable to determine the root cause of a problem- including actual medical findings of lesions, abnormalities, and nodules- his ego will be apparent, and he will blame it on the patient, suggesting it's all in your head. I'm highly disappointed and won't return for another visit.

Being diagnosed with MS is extremely traumatizing and life-altering, and after dealing with two previous neurologists with zero bedside manner, I was very fortunate to be referred to Dr. Miravalle. He's brilliant, kind, thorough, willing to listen and answer questions, and never seems like he's in a hurry. I also appreciate that he's deeply involved with research - I know that he's very invested in the treatment and eventual cure for MS. I would highly recommend him to anyone going through this journey.

Reminded me of Christina from Grey's Anatomy. I think his accuracy would be improved greatly by better listening skills.
