Very patient and kind with excellent communication of my problem how to treat it.

I have seen Dr. Barrett 3 times in almost a year for my knee/knees... Very patient, goes over different choices with you and is honest with all he does. I just received the Durolane gel for my knees and I feel so much relief.

Wouldn't want anothe doc but Dr Barrett. The whole staff eas courteous an very helpful. Ms Sports Medicine is the place to go.

I came to the after-hours clinic and was seen by an NP who was wonderful. She said that my kneecaps were off a bit and said it was just the way God made me, but it was linley causing some problems. Was told I had a torn miniscus, put me in a brace and scheduled me with Dr. Barrett. Waited 2 hours for my appointment. He came with a girl shadowing him. He let me speak once and stopped me. Then proceeded to make fun of my knees to the girl in front of me as if I wasn’t even there. He told me absolutely nothing - not what to do, how long to wear the brace, any sort of follow-up. I was so angry and embarrassed I didn’t even ask. I left there in tears still with a hurt knee. Never in my life have I ever heard a doctor say the things he said about a patient.

FILLED OUT ONLINE APPLICATION FOR APPT. NEVER HEARD FROM HIM. EVEN THOUGH I TOLD HIM I WAS IN A LOT OF PAIN, NOTHING. SO, I CALLED LATER AND MADE AN APPT. THROUGH HIS OFFICE. SEVERAL DAYS LATER, HIS OFFICE CALLED AND CANCELLED MY APPT BECAUSE I WAS IN 65 TO 75 YEARS OF AGE.BRACKET..... MEANING HE DOESN'T HELP YOU IF YOU ARE OLD.. THEY OFFERED TO SEND ME A PHYSIANS ASSISTANCE ACROSS TOWN. I WASN'T AWARE HE COULD MAKE THAT DECISION SINCE HE IS A DOCTER. SO STAY AWAY DR. AUSTIN BARRETT IF YOU'RE IN THAT AGE BRACKET. HE DOESN'T HELP THE AGED.

Absolutely the worst bedside manners and was a complete waste of my time (after waiting an hour and half).

I had my surgery with Dr. Barrett about 2 weeks ago and the entire process has been great! At no point was I ever confused about my care, left uneducated about the process, or disappointed with my care. He spoke to me immediately following surgery and answered any question I had no matter how ridiculous they may have been being as though I was coming off of anesthesia. He provided me with pictures of my surgery to take home. At my post op appointment, he brought out the pictures from my surgery and went over each one and thoroughly explain his findings. He truly cares about his patients and I would recommend his services to anyone. You will feel comfortable with Dr. Barrett as his bedside manner is professional and caring.
