Amazing at diagnosing and providing treatments for my skin conditions. I've honestly never felt so important in the hands of a doctor until finding Dr. Ayman Matta. He has truly helped me regain my confidence!!

If you miss the pre-pandemic good old days, absolutely go see Dr. Matta! No waiting in your car until your appointment; just step right in, sit right down, anywhere! Hang out in his waiting room for hours. He may not arrive for hours, but what the heck? Didn’t doctors always make you wait around in the good old days before Covid-19? Temperature checks? Nah! Don’t worry about temperature checks or silly questions like: “Have you had chills, fever, body aches, loss of smell or taste or headaches in the past 21 days?” Or, “Have you been exposed to anyone who tested positive for Covid-19?” Or, “Have you traveled recently….? “ No worries! His staff won’t pester you with such trivialities. And, if you really want to feel like you are back in the good old pre-pandemic days, he’ll keep you waiting for nearly two hours with all the other unscreened patients. Every other doctor I have been to since the start of the pandemic follows CDC guidelines to keep staff and patients safe, but Dr. Matta and his staff will not bother you with such nonsense. Oh! But WAIT! There’s MORE!! If an adult in your family cannot tolerate a mask for some reason and cannot help screaming and spitting incessantly -without a mask!- no worries! His staff will not embarrass you or your family member by making an accommodation to place someone screaming and spitting without a mask (whose temperature has not been checked by office staff) in a treatment room away from other patients! A person screaming and spitting without a mask has just as much right to sit beside you in the waiting room as you do! My only complaint: bring a good book to read, you’ll be there for a while.

I have been coming to this office for the past 8 years, Dr. Matta helped me restore my vision as well as my wife, we both can't say enough about this amazing Dr. in many times Dr. Matta toke the extra time to go over our current condition as well as explaining things and preventative option going forward, beside the fact I had to wait a little longer but for sure he is definitely well worth the wait. good Dr. are not easy to find nowadays. I have seen many other Doctors in my life by Dr. Matta by far id the best I dealt with.

Great doctor but he is always late. Late like 2.5 hours waiting for him in the surgery center. No one in facility even informed his patients he was going to be late. In order to post had to give 1 star. Would give a negative infinity if possible.

I have been coming here for the past 2 years. Dr Matta is an amazing physician who saved my vision. I am able to see distance and near without glasses or contacts.

I like the staff, the atmosphere, I like all the doctors. I've been to both the Orangeburg office as well as the Middletown office and both staffs are just wonderful. Dr. Matta is just so caring and it truly shows that he really cares for his patients. Whether its just an infection in the eye versus something more complicated, he really cares for his patients. His billing staff is equally wonderful. I didn't understand my bill and the biller came out to the front desk and explained everything to me, in just the right way. She didn't make me feel stupid and she truly wanted to make sure I understood why I owed it before I paid it. I think the office overall, is just plain wonderful! They also have a very convenient in-house optical department, again with great staff to help you in your every need and help you pick out glasses. Truly a wonderful experience!

From the minute I walked into the office up until the time of check out, I had a wonderful experience. Dr. Matta is a very well spoken and knowledgable doctor. The staff also was wonderful and made my experience even better.

I'd like to mention my own experience, as I was so impressed of Dr. Matta's Professional yet caring attitude and I was so comfortable of my whole experience at his office. Starting from the friendly yet professional crew, I had my appointment and there at the office I realized how busy the office was, but I had my appointment on time just waited few minutes more. At Dr. Matta's office they had all the time to check my both eyes although I was complaining of pain and dryness in the right eye only, Dr. Matta diagnosed the problem and gave me a prescription. After a week I had to see him again although my eye was getting better almost two days later. I never had a problem to book another appointment, or to wait long and my eyes were perfectly back to normal shortly after I started my prescription. I would recommend Dr. Matta over and over again.

Awful experience. Would not recommend this doctor. The office personnel were uncaring, didn't seem to know what they were doing and didn't communicate well at all. They were out of supplies and/or essential office equipment didn't work. I found the office to be setup like a factory, designed to push as many patients through in the least amount of time. Dr. Matta took a cell phone call during his time with me, seemed rushed and left me with questions that I still wanted answered. Overall an awful experience. I would recommend finding a different doctor. I will.

I was a patient of Dr. Matta in early 2005, at the time I felt the wait time was very long, however just this past week I scheduled an appointment to see him. My eyes were feeling a little dry and irrated and I was begining to worry. I called the office and a pleasent young lady answered the phone and booked me to see the doctor the very next day. I was amazed at how quickly she was able to get me in once I expressed my concerns. I arrived at Dr. Mattas office in orangeburg at 10:45am. The girl at the front handed me paperwork and reviewed all details of it. Before I could even finsih the paperwork a techincian was calling my name. I brought my paperwork to the front and explained to the girl that I was not finished, she then took the paperwork and told me not to worry; that I can finsih once the tech is done. I thanked her and followed the tech into the room. She was very pleasent and detailed, guiding me through each part of the exam. After she dilated my eyes, she then explained that she would be taking me back to the waiting room just until the dilating drops took effect. I proceeded to the front desk to finsih up the rest of my paperwork. Just as I finished the paper work I was being called into the exam room to see the doctor. Dr. Matta explained to me that the irration is result of the seasonal allegies and not to worry. He prescribed me a drop to reduce the irration. I was concerned because I never had this problem before, but Dr. Matta and his curtious staff eased my fear and explained this may be only a seasonal thing and that he would see me back in three months to check the progress of the drops. I was then escorted to the back desk where another girl made my next appointment and took my pharamacy information. She then handed me a sample of the drop and explained once again the correct way to use the drop. As I walked out the office I glanced at my watched and realized the time was only 11:39am. Less then one hour in the eye doctor, I couldnt believe it, I was able to go back to work and finish out the rest of my day with ease.

i had chronic dryness and blurry vision and my friend recommended i go to doctor's matta's office. on my first visit i was so impressed with the courtesy and helpfullness of his staff. Dr. matta is simply awesome with great bedside manners. his clinic is so busy, yet he takes his time to listen to his patients needs and concerns as well as giving an accurate diagnosis. Dr. matta is a smart caring doctor and i highly recommend him.
