Dr. Wallis and his staff are exceptional in all aspects. From introductions, exams, explanations and overall communications they all work very hard at making sure your medical needs are met.

Met him in the hospital, he comes across very abrupt but to the point there’s nothing wrong with that he pointed out some things to me that needed to change and he told me he would help me facilitate that change, my health, every aspect of what I’ve known since I was over 33 years old and that has to change and that is now over 20 years later, incorrect medication incorrect those saying incorrect diagnosis and the man was able to nail all this on the head could he have a friendlier persona I’m sure, but I don’t need somebody to guess me when I need somebody is to help heal me not just take my money, I like him even the fact that he’s a little cocky but they say sometimes the most brilliant of people are depending on what happens with this hurricane that’s coming my intention is to see him in the next week as per his instruction I will keep everybody updated. They say sometimes people with the biggest attitude and are a little cocky have gotten that way because they’re tired of seeing all the wrongs that have been done medically to people depending on what happens with the hurricane this coming week I intend to see him and I intend to follow through, Lynn

On my first visit for an esophageal swallowing problem, I sat in the patient room and waited for 30 minutes while his nurse entered all the information I had sent to her a week prior. When I finally saw the doctor, he examined me and asked questions and palpated my belly (not necessary since my problem was my throat, but I realized he was doing that to charge $378 and insurance only reimburses $60 plus my copay of $20). Scheduled me for an endoscopy and I found out about the implant of a Bravo device AT the hospital on the day of the EGD. He spoke to my hubby while I was coming out of anesthesia and my hubby was jot impressed by his manor, but reading the his reports showed that he was at least getting at the source of my problem where my previous GI had ignored me and failed to diagnose. I wore the device for two days, returned it and waited for next visit two weeks later for results. Two weeks later, he was totally unprepared to see me as the BRAVO results were not in the file and nobody on his staff had bird dogged them. He was scattered and unfocused. Again, he palpated my belly to charge the max. Was to have staff schedule an esophageal motility test. Front desk put it on the chart, scheduled me for two additional follow up visits(one for the missing BRAVO results and one post motility test) and I left. A week prior to scheduled test, I called office because the hospital had not called me to preregister. Staff told me they do the test in-office (I had a gut feeling this was an error, but let it slide). Arrived at office 15 minutes early for my appointment. It was 45 minutes before his nurse took me into a room. She took another 20 minutes entering info and took my weight, bp and o2. Doc came in and began dictating his notes into his computer as he always does(very annoying and seems disrespectful because he is NOT paying attention to the patient). As he is dictating, he is making comments about my bowels and incontinence and I am shaking my head NoNoNo until he finally stops. His staff has scheduled me for an ANAL motility test which means shooting a syringe of saline up your BUTT! Thank goodness I stopped the process. He was apologetic and said I would not be charged for my visit (accounting says I cannot have all of my $20 back because they took my vitals! We will see what American Express says about that!). Test is now scheduled at hospital and when the results are discussed at the follow up appointment, I AM SO DONE WITH THIS GUY!

He is more thorough than any other doctor I have ever experienced. He takes his time with his patients and answers any and all questions. I encountered the surgery center and I thought it had a much more relaxed and "cozy" feel to it. It didn't smell like a hospital or have that ice cold feeling of a hospital. The staff was incredible as well. They were all very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to help me. One of the girls even gave me a ride home after because I couldn't find transportation. Five stars!

Dr Wallis has taken care of both my husband and me. He took the time to call my husband's surgeon at the Mayo Clinic and become familiar with his condition. The surgeon called us the next morning to let us know that we were in excellent hands and I totally agree with him. He also has been very careful to determine my conditions. He takes time and has a lot of patience--very needed in my case.

Dr. Wallis is humble, caring and brilliant. I am impressed each time I visit his office. His staff is kind and thoughtful.

Inadequate Facility for seeing patients. Inadequate Surgery Center.

The bold black cancellation fee sheet I saw made me question my choice of practice. The fees seemed excessive, and the time allotted to cancel (2 days for an office visit and 3 days for a procedure) may not be feasible. ( IE I woke up with the flu, but if I cancel my procedure I'll owe $125.) When I saw their out patient procedure center, I wanted to leave. It was tiny. There were 3 small rooms -a waiting room, changing room, and a procedure room. A hallway was used as a recovery area. The procedure room itself had 3 large windows where I could see cars going by just a few feet away. I felt exposed and unsafe. I had stayed to that point because of that cancellation fee. I was already hooked up to an IV (that hurt more than almost any other) when I was given the option to leave. I stayed because I knew I would be too scared to have them start another IV at a regular facility. That was the first time I met Dr.Wallis. I wish I could have met him sooner. I wish someone had told me that their outpatient center was not a normal surgery center. The staff was very nice though. Dr. Wallis said the center was well equipped, but how can a person trust a 3 room area that looks incomplete.

He is the best! Very caring and makes you feel so comfortable. Great bedside manner! Answers all of your questions and spends the time that you deserve as a patient! Incredible!

Dr. Wallis treats you like your his only patient, explaining what is going on . Sometimes we have had a long wait in his office but, I'm sure it is because he is taking time with some one else who needs him. We like & appreciate him very much.

I had 3 appts with Dr Wallis - each appt the doctor or his PA was over an hour late. Both the Dr and PA were not prepared for the appt - they had not reviewed the chart, lab tests, or even why I had an appt. Despite this the Dr and PA really wanted me to come back for a whole series of un-necessary tests. I said NO. This doctors office is mostly interested in getting the patient to participate in as much testing and appt time as possible so they can make as much money as possible - regardless of the patients needs.

I saw Dr. Wallis when I got admitted to the hospital since I had not gotten a new GI doctor and was assigned him by chance, he has been my doctor ever since. Dr. Wallis goes above and beyond for his patients, he works hard to make sure they have the best possible care. When I got out of the hospital, he even personally called to check on me and make sure I got my medication okay. You may have to wait a little while in the waiting room, but that is only because of how much time he spends listening and tending to his patients. His staff is one of the nicest I have come across and are just genuinely nice people. All and all I absolutely recommend Dr. Wallis, out of all the GI doctor's I've had he is definitely the best.
