Dr. Ben Bhupendra Pradhan, MD

Referred to Dr Pradhan by my wonderful pain management doctor. I was not very impressed with this spine surgeon. He seemed to be rushed. Only spent 2 minutes with me and handed me a 4 page "written by himself" regarding the procedure. He told me when I was ready to proceed after I have read his 4 page to call and make an appointment otherwise I could go back to my pain management doctor. In conclusion, I didn't find this spine surgeon doctor very caring. He wouldn't answer my questions and very vague and referred me to read his 4 page "written in his words" and that was it. He was very vague and not very attentive to my concerns. He just gave me his paperwork about the próçedure and rushed out. I don't think I will see him again.

Not very caring doctor, came in with pain, showed no concern. Told me to go to my healthcare doctor. He said "I am a spine surgeon.

This was my second visit to see Dr Pradhan over a two year period. After seeing several spine surgeons I came back to Dr. P. His reputation and training gave confidence in his diagnosis, which was the same as the first visit. Staff was great, efficient and friendly. I felt that they were there to help. Dr. Pradhan did a good job explaining how he could help with his surgery technic. He answered my questions, and sincerely listened and explained how he was going to deal with my Stenosis. The follow up nurse fitted me for a brace and was very informative and fun, we clicked. Dr. Pradhan is a highly trained back surgeon who goes the extra mile with minimal evasive surgery to get the best result, with the quickest recovery.

I went to visit Dr. Pradhan for a chronic back issue, and have been living with daily pain for weeks. Reaching anyone at the office is like waiting on the line for the cable company to pick up. After the visit, which was good enough, Dr. Pradhan recommended we get an MRI. He told me someone would reach out in a couple of days with an appointment. A week goes by without hearing anything, and we call only to get some lame excuse that there was a computer problem. Then a couple of days later I get this terse phone call from the person who supposedly is helping getting things setup. She accuses me of yelling at her when I tried to explain that I haven't heard in over a week, and was unware of the details of the process that she's complaining about (PPO requirements for pre-authorization, micro managing third party companies, etc.) -- as if I'm supposed to know the ins and outs of health insurance. After once again trying to explain and move forward, she cuts me off and just tries to punt me to the laboratory running the test. I ask to speak to her boss or manager, and she refuses. I have never been treated so rudely by any doctor's office and am still in daily pain. The woman did not care one bit that I am hurting and was only concerned about how much of a pain it was that she had to help me. Sorry, Dr. Pradhan, I liked you and you seemed like a nice guy. Your assistant just lost you a patient, and I will be telling people forever about the poor treatment I got from your office.

He has no respect or care at all. He would not explain your condition or talk to you like a human being.

Refuses to answer questions, explain anything he's doing, or spend more than 3 minutes with you. His office staff is even more rude and condescending. As someone who rarely ever leaves reviews, it took a lot for me to do this, so please heed my warning. I am dead serious. This man is not a professional in any sense of the word. If you care about being informed about your treatment plan, go anywhere else. Get a doctor that will respect you.

Dr Pradhan is a great surgeon by reputation, but also conservative and realistic. He referred me for some non- surgery treatments first, and I am much improved. Thank you! It was nice to avoid surgery.

I appreciated his diagnosis, and also did well after I had a back discecetomy. I would recommend him to anyone.

I waited 10 years with pain and a severe limp. After surgery I was a new person.

Dr Pradhan performed a minimally invasive surgery to take care of my pinched nerve in my neck. I can say that it has been very successful. I would highly recommend him.

Had pinched nerve and degeneration. He did a minimally invasive procedure and I am pretty much free of pain now.

Dr. Praden is one of the best spinal surgeons in pasadena area. I had spinal surgery in 2008 with Dr. Praden. It was a big surgery with a Dynesys implant and a fairly long recovery time, all of which he prepared me for. I have routinely seen him since as I still have some nerve damage which was to be expected. He wants to do another more routine surgery for spinal stenosis, however I am keeping it in check with weekly visits to my chiropractor. I am in my mid 70's and don't want another major surgery if it can be avoided. Dr. Praden is a surgeon, that is what he does, so do your homework, check out other options and get other opinions.... If surgery is still needed he is the "Go To Guy"!

Was very scared to see a surgeon. But Dr. Pradhan put me at ease with his pleasant bedside manner. I did some research on him, and I don't think you can find someone who is more dedicated to his field and patients. I would trust him to treat any of my family too if necessary. The whole RISSER Orthopaedic Group has a very warm vibe about it.

Poor communication between the doctor and staff. Diffuclty with getting questions answered and phone calls returned. Recovery time minimized and not realistic.

Dr Pradhan's approach was very logical and reasonable. I He explained his rationale in an articulate manner. I felt I was treated as an individual.

Dr. Pradhan is an exceptional surgeon and caring physician. He explored all possible treatment options before doing surgery. I was fully informed of all possible treatments and about the needed surgery. Dr. Pradhan was there for my questions as was his staff. Dr. Pradhan treats each patient as a valued person. Not only is Dr. Pradhan an excellent surgeon, he is a special and caring physician. I highly recommend him to you.

Excellent care where it counts, which is under that knife. He is quick in the office but will slow down if you ask him to. He's patient with your questions. Excellent follow-up though a little dismissive sometimes. Still, he is the guy I would want if there's a next time.
