The office and staff were all amazing. Everyone was friendly and very efficient. I only saw Dr Domb briefly, but he was warm and friendly. He shared what my options would be for my hip and answered my questions.

Hard to review Dr. Domb since I saw him all of two minutes after waiting over two hours. He also was under the impression when he finally arrived that I wanted to do anything to avoid surgery, which was not correct. That must’ve been one of his other many patients he saw that morning before my visit. AHI may do good work but it felt like a factory, and I will not be returning.

I flew to Chicago to visit Domb from the west coast as I have had extensive hip issues that needed an experienced surgeon. They began having me read and sign their forms right before my appointment, they wanted my credit card as well as a $5000 deposit if I had surgery, this was never mentioned prior to my visit nor displayed on their website…I declined both, never had an office show you upfront how much they care about money and not you. They stuck me in a waiting room for over a half hour waiting…I eventually asked what was going as if they forgot about me and soon after Domb walked in with 4 other trainees. It was very impersonal as I was talking in a room full of people and not 1 on 1 with Domb. It’s clear he has an ego and didn’t seem to care that I flew 4 hours for a quick office visit. I left completely unimpressed and knew I wasted my time. I ultimately got surgery with a local surgeon who cares about his patients and doesn’t run his practice with the sole intent to keep adding more zeros to his bank account.

Ease of getting appointment, staff all very helpful and friendly. Dr. Dombs assistant very helpful and knowledgeable . Dr. Domb took his time answered all my questions. Very impressed with different options, not offered at my old orthopedic doctor.

I just had my first visit at the Hip Institute. I read a lot of reviews that said they waited hours. My experience was that they got me into X-ray quickly, one gal took notes all about my problem, another dr came in and checked me out and shortly after Dr Dome came in and discussed all my options very clearly and answered all my questions in a very patient manner. He never rushed me and sat very relaxed listening to me. PRP is a series of three injections of my own plasma costing $800 each-not covered by insurance. So I have to decide if I want that or not!

I'm sure Dr Domb knew exactly what to do within 1 minute of looking at my MRI, and examining me.. I'm sure most (almost all?) patients think time spent with the doctor means a better diagnosis. I do not. I could have done without the 2 1/2 hours of time spent with everyone else, (although his resident was attentive and kind) and been happy with the 2 minutes I spent with Dr Domb. Either you trust or you don't. I trust and will be scheduling my labral tear for after the new year.

Dr. Domb did a replacement of my hip 2015. I was riding my horses again shortly after the procedure. I had shoulder surgery in 2020 but recently injured both shoulders. I had PRP injections in both shoulders and it was a success. I am so thankful for American Hip Institute.

Dr Domb is an amazing surgeon. My rt pain is totally gone after having my right hip replaced. I am now going to have my left hip replaced. Thank you!

I have have chronic, complex hip issues and have seen several orthopedic specialists over the years. Dr. Domb was recommended to me by Mayo Clinic when I was there for help from them. He is far and away the best I've seen. I've recommended several people to him based on the care he and his team have provided to me over the years. I'm always pleased with the way he explains the issues and options I have for my care.
