Dr. Benjamin Eskra

I have seen Dr. Eskra for several procedures and have to say that he is one of the most understanding, compassionate physicians I've ever met. I cannot fathom anyone writing a negative review for his office. He always listens to his patients and spends a great deal of time with them, which is something rarely seen by many physicians these days.

It has been two weeks since my visit with Dr. Eskra. On my review of that visit, I stated that he was supposed to refer me to a specialist in another city. I'm still waiting for that referral. This just proves my point about him being nothing more than a money man and does not care about the wellness of those coming to see him. I figured this would happen, so I've chosen a specialist to see. This is the problem with our healthcare now. There are no doctors that truly care and want to help. It's all about the money!

I can't comment on his surgical skills because my consult never got that far. My reconstructive surgery was done by a different doctor that is no longer in NC. I went to Dr Eskra about the problems I've been having over the last few years. He does not believe in Breast Implant Illness. Evidently, he hasn't been keeping up with what is going on in the implant industry with the FDA and the bans on implants now happening in other countries due to this illness. He dismissed my problems and cut me off by stating that "implants do not cause illnesses, they are completely safe". This is a lie people. Do your research. BII is real and affecting women everywhere. Breast implants are not safe. If he was a doctor worth his salt, he would not have dismissed me as if I were stupid.

I had breast reduction. And feel great. I did have some problems with recovering as my skin would not heal fast. Now i am doing amazing and extremely happy with my life.

I absolutely LOVE this doctor and his entire staff!! Have spent well over $10,000.00 and would spend more if I had it. My breasts are amazing and my tummy tuck is more than I could of ever asked for. As for the ones on here complaining, I find this very hard to believe!!! BEST BY FAR!!!!

This facitily Dr and Staff are beyond amazing. This has been the best decision I have made and they def made my experience a great one from day 1 and on going. I would recommend Dr Eskra to anyone without hesitation and that's exactly what I do.

I had breast reduction well from the same Doctor. Did you have an issue with the incision opening up? My right breast as split open completely and is continuing to split and all I've been given was some topical cream. It is so bad that I can literally put my entire fist all the into the wound. I was never given any information on anything REMOTELY close to this being a possibility. All I was told before the surgery is that it would take 6 weeks to fully recover with the first 2 weeks being the worst. The incision began splitting on the 3rd day after surgery and has steadily gotten worse and continuing to open. I have been in and out of their office. I have been to the ER at Wayne Memorial and after 5 1/2 hours of waiting they only gave me antibiotics through an IV and then the PA (not an actual Doctor, never saw one) told me they didn't do stitching there. Even though I had asked them to do that when I got there. I have been in Goldsboro for over 10 years now and it seems that the entire medical community is full of nothing more than complete incompetents. My husband is so outrage by the total lack of care that he is considering hiring an attorney.

I came to Dr. Eskra for a full tummy tuck after seeing several plastic surgeons in several states. After meeting with him I decided to have a breast augmentation and minor liposuction as well. I was given a quick surgery date and was excited to have my 'mommy makeover'. I was extremely pleased with all of my procedures but I wish I would have more clearly understood the recovery time and other post- op situations I would be dealing with. I am glad I chose Dr. Eskra because I am pleased with my results.

Dr. Eskra is a very knowledgeable and skilled surgeon who exceeds all previous expectations I have ever had in my life regarding a Doctor or Surgeon. He takes copious amounts of time diagnosing, discussing, and following up on my issues/concerns. He is a tender hearted surgeon who truly cares about your satisfaction.

I had consultations with six plastic surgeons in North Carolina and didn't like any of them. I had another doctor recommend I have a consultation with Dr. Eskra. I'm so glad I did. Dr. Eskra and his staff are professional, kind, and thorough. Dr. Eskra took the time to listen to my concerns and honestly answer what he would be able to do to fix my problem areas. The results of the breast augmentation and tummy tuck are perfect and exceeded my expectations.

Dr. Eskra and his staff go above and beyond to make to feel comfortable and confident in your decisions. Bedside manner is excellent and after care is wonderful. I would recommend him to anyone needing surgery!

I received a breast reduction and was unhappy with results. He could not tell me what size he would be able to reduce me to but said it would fit my body. Even after he could not tell me what size I was. My mistake when He couldnt tell me a size that should of been my red flag. However I went on with it anyway. To make a long story short I am WAAY too small maybe an A or B. He kept on saying they would fill in/shape as months went on. They did not. Although my back feels better I am not happy with my size as it does not go with my body. Shame that I got a reduction and I'm considering gettin an impant for a size bigger. Paying for more breast when I already had breast...speechless. Although his beside manner is great and staff is great seek another surgeon. I investigated but apparetntly not enough and ask for sample pictures.Also giving him the benefit of the doubt I had another procedure done which was my last (with him). Again the results is not what I expected and suffered another issue on top of it due to what I think was lack of experience and knowledge.

I am hugely disappointed with my neck lift with Dr Eskra (labeled as a short scar neck lift with submental liposuction and platysma placation). On the 3rd day after my neck lift I called the office with concerns about puckering and wrinkling of the skin in the areas under my chin where the liposuction was preformed and I was told to use cocoa butter on it.I emailed a picture of my chin to the office a few days later with the same concerns and went in to see Dr Eskra a week earlier than the scheduled 2 week checkup. At that appointment and every subsequent appt I complained about the issue which grew progressively worse as the swelling went down.I hated going out in public because the skin looked so unnatural and at the 1 month appt Dr Eskra said all it would take was a simple tuck which he could do at the 3 month mark. A friend who was getting her neck lift done (in another state) took my pictures to her plastic surgeon to say I dont want this! and she was told that the surgeon did not understand how the skin would react to liposuction.Truthfully I felt like a freak and still dreaded going out in public.At the 3 month mark Dr Eskra numbed the areas under and in back of my ear and did the tucks behind each ear and initially the skin looked much better. Sadly the improvement was only due to the swelling and only lasted a few days before going back to the hideous puckering and wrinkling.At 5 months I went to a plastic surgeon who had extensive experience in facial procedures and the first thing he asked was why didnt I go to a certified plastic surgeon. When I told him that I did, he asked for the name so he could go check the credentials because he could not believe it. He came back surprised that my surgeon was indeed certified then said, It is obvious that the surgeon did not understand facial structure. He asked me to get all the records, pictures, and notes from Dr Eskra and to come back at the 8th month mark. After looking at the records he was astonished at the amount of fat that was taken out and said that even with his 5,000 surgeries he had never taken out more than 1/3 of the fat that Dr Eskra had taken out under my chin. He said that I did not have a fat issue, but one of loose skin. He was appalled at the scarring behind my ears, not only at how the scars looked but that were so far away from the fold behind by ear, then remarked that there was no way to fix my neck by simply pulling the skin back at my ears, that it would have to be pulled in an upward direction also. He explained that the skin on my neck as well as my cheek area would all have to be separated to do it correctly.I will have the revision done in a few months at a cost of $7625 after having already had to pay Dr Eskra $6200 to get myself into this mess in the first place a very costly mistake.While I found Dr Eskra very personable, with a caring manner, and found his staff pleasant, I could not recommend him to anyone I know to have the same procedure that I had done. All they would have to do is look at my neck it speaks for itself.

You could not ask for a better doctor. He is very professional and has a great bedside manner. He spends all the time you need to ensure you are comfortable with your medical issues. I would recommend him to anyone!!!
