Dr. Benjamin Goodrich Newman, MD

We only wish every doctor had the skills and beside manner of Dr. Newman.

Dr. Newman has been our family and relatives family physician for more than 40 years. He has been there for us through good health, surgeries, trauma, both emotional and physical, birth and death. To say that he is a caring, professional and highly skilled doctor would be an understatement. Over these many years his whole life approach to medicine has benefited not only our family but numerous coworkers and acquaintances. I have also had the privilege of working with Dr. Newman over many years in his capacity as Seminole County Medical Director for EMS and as our county physician. Throughout that time his tireless commitment to excellence in all his endeavors inspired others and was routinely recognized by the media and elected officials. Dr. Newman has touched and impacted so many lives in a positive way not only in Florida but in the State of Maine as well. However, perhaps his greatest contribution has been to our nation through his military service as a combat physician in the U.S.Navy. When one considers the character and accomplishments of this individual, in addition to being highly decorated for his service through three wars, there isn't much else to say.

Dr. Newman was everything he said he was and more. A step back in time to when doctors cared more about patients than any other thing!

Dr. Newman was my Doctor both in the Marine Reserves and as a civilian. I lost the ability to continue seeing him when he went back on Active Duty during the Gulf War.He is a great caring family Doctor that anyone will enjoy. It's not hard to get an entire company of Marines to like a Navy Doctor, but Dr. Newman was in that category when he served the Marine Corps Reserves in Orlando in the 70's.I had lost touch with him but I am writing a letter to him as a result of finding his new address.

Best doctor a man could want....he knows the medical profession and he knows people. He cares....
