Dr. Betty Lee, MD

Dr. Betty Lee is so friendly and thoughtful I fell very comfortable to entursting my health to her.

I too had the problem of finding a primary care physician that was able to accept new patients. Betty Lee was who I found. The east cambridge clinic is a horrible place. One time I had an appointment at 1:30 and was not seen until quarter of 5 and afterwards I was not even satisfied with my visit. Dr Betty Lee does not know a thing of what she is speaking of. You would think where she references her books in front of you so many times she would know how to spell out medical terms but she does not. When I had an MRI done, when I received the report back she spelled it as an "NRI". Betty Lee does not see treating her patients as such, but instead thinks of it as a liability. That's why she refers people to specialists for simple things that she could handle herself but chooses not to due to her own inexperience and lack of knowledge. Most of the prescriptions that she prescribes do nothing to help with pain and for the most part she doesn't know how to properly send over prescriptions to the pharmacy. I had high blood pressure and she was supposed to send over a prescription and she did not. I ended up having to call her office and it took them two days to get back to the pharmacy so my prescription could be filled. Overall, I would not suggest her as a doctor to anyone. If I could've I would've rated her with 0 stars, but this site makes it so that I have to give her atleast 1. I honestly don't know how she received a license to handle human lives. Please don't have her as your doctor and if you still choose to, do so at your own risk.

I saw Dr. Lee last year and had to wait over 3 hours to be seen. My appointment was at 6, but she ended up seeing me just before 9:30 after all the office staff had already left. I needed to get some blood work done but she was very pushy about wanting me to get it done at their own hospital. She also insisted that I get a pap smear right there and then, and when I told her I wanted to defer that for now, she tried to force me into it. She told me she was not very familiar with my medical problem (a very common condition) and kept misspelling things as she was typing them in the system in front of me. A few times I had to ask her to go back and correct what she was typing as she would type -hypo instead of -hyper and things like that. I had to go to her out of desperation as there are very few generalists in MA, but I would not recommend her to a family member.

I will never go back to Betty Lee and that is off of my own personal experience. She likes to make unnecessary refferals for simple treatments. I had an ear infection. Simple as that. All I needed was the proper medication to clear it up yet for some reason she found it necessary to send me to get an x-ray done of my head! Are you kidding me? I'm not a doctor and I KNOW you cant see ear wax on an x-ray of your head. It's just a reason to charge my insurance company for something I didn't need. I ended up in the ER TWICE because she perscriped a medication to me that the ER doctor called "Trash". They actually threw it away right in front of me. When I told them she wanted me to get an x-ray of my head they called her "crazy". I don't trust her to treat me anymore. I could have lost my hearing perminently. I wouldn't be surprised if she were on here making comments on her own behalf because one comment in particular sounds distictivly like her. So visit Betty Lee if you want to, because if you are one of her patients, you know the truth.

Dr. Lee always explaning the dianosis and treatment clearly. She wants me to have the best treatment available to me not just treating the pain . Dr. Lee is alwasy returning the phone call when I have concerns. She is the best !

When in pain and seeking medical help , she doesn't treat the pain she is more concerned about losing her license than helping her patients in pain. She prescribes useless medication that doesn't help and leaves you in pain and wondering why did i go to see her? She is apt to send you to specialists because a simple ear infection is " Not her specialty" It just makes me wonder how she got her license. Every time i have gone to her for a simple problem she ends up sending me to many other doctors. I am very displeased with her.
