Dr. Bijan Ghatan, MD

Doesn't listen to patient concerns. If you ask questions, he accuses you of arguing with him. Not very knowledgeable. Wait times of over an hour are standard despite having an appointment, then not even so much as an "I'm sorry for the long wait."

Can't say enough good things. My best friend recommended him 3 years ago. Wish I had listened to her earlier. Kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. His manner, explanations and treatment of me has been exemplary. There is a real nice atmosphere amongst patients in his office. They are all smiling when they leave. It says all about the office.

Dr. GHATAN is very professional and caring. He is a great Dr. and I have always trusted his diagnosis. He has been our family Dr. For 20 years. I highly recommend this Doctor.

Dr. Ghatan has been my doctor for over 20 years now and my husband been been his patient for over 7 years. He is the most kind, caring and compassionate doctor we have ever had and he has taken excellent care of us both. He has time for all of our questions and concerns and made sure we have had any treatment needed for optimal health. We moved from the area a year ago and now travel almost 200 miles round trip to stay with Dr. Ghatan for our care. We trust him and respect him and feel we would never find another doctor that compares.

Every time I come here they always remember me by name and greet me as soon as I walk in the door, even if it's been months since my last appointment. They are so thoughtful and amazingly sweet, I just love this place. I was so impressed with the progress I was able to make after visiting them. All my questions were answered, and I feel a lot more confident and hopeful about the future. Whenever I make an appointment, I'm always confident that they're going to be ready for me at my scheduled time. At other places I've been to, it's always bothered me when they postpone my appointment, but they've never done that here.

What an amazing experience. I went in to the room on time; the Dr. came in almost immediately. Took a long time going through my complicated history and then told me his opinion. Nothing unusual about that except he took time and answered all my questions. I never felt rushed, was totally at ease, and in 50 years of going to the doctors never felt so satisfied when I was left the office. I have my neighbor to thank for recommending him. He's been my neighbor's doctor for 22 years, and now I know why.

EXCELLANT EXPERIENCE; COMPASSIONATE, CARING, TALKED TO ME AT LENTGTH

Recently the doctor made a diagnosis of a condition I had, he prescribed medication for me and wrote the prescription. When I took it to the pharmacy I found out he had to fill out a prior authorization form to reduce the cost from $309.99 to my $20.00 co-pay. After a month he still has not done it because he say's it takes too much of his time, now mind you HE made the diagnosis! I find it deplorable that rather than take a few minutes for his patient and take care of a need he decided not to. And trying to speak with him about it is useless because his mother or whoever that is that answers the phones is very unaccommodating and rude.

Would not provide a referral when I clearly needed one due to illness. Would not get authorization for colonoscopy when I clearly needed one but got me a referral for something I did not ask for or have an urgent need for. The authorization for the colonoscopy should have been routine since I am over 50 yrs old, never had a colonoscopy and had been in abdominal pain and been on antibiotics for weeks. Was told by his staff on the phone that only Dr. Ghatan could fax the referral form when I called back to follow up on getting the referral.
