Read each and EVERY page BEFORE you sign ANYTHING. Then get a copy of EVERYTHING you signed. Don't let the staff RUSH you or take there verbal summary of the documents. Hold them for to filing all procedures as they promise.

For many years I have always gone to the same eye doctor until a unpleasant and frightening experience with cateract surgery. As time went by I needed surgery on my other eye and was extremely apprehensive. My sister recommended Dr. Jani to me but she herself never had cateract surgery. Well to make a long story short on Thursday Dr Jani performed my surgery with excellent results. As a nurse I must say it was the most stress free experience I’ve Ever had and the success is overwhelming. My only regret is that I didn’t find Dr Jani sooner. Thank you Dr Jani for you, your staff and the wonderful staff at the surgery center. I am eternally thankful and I CAN SEE

Dr. Jani is both very competent and professional. While you are with him he always makes you feel like you are important and that he has all the time you might need to talk with him.

My first cataract surgery was yesterday. I had not believed the procedure would be painless, but it was totally painless. (All that worry for nothing!) I thought I had been seeing colors clearly, but I hadn't. Now I do see the colors- what a beautiful difference! After 56 years of requiring significant corrective lenses, I'm on my way to being free from glasses and contacts. I'm looking forward to having the procedure on my other eye, but this time I know there is no reason to be apprehensive. I'm grateful to Dr. Jani and all of the professional staff who provided excellent service and care, and who have been supportive and kind.

Wait time is terrible - almost 1 hour. Staff uninterested in updating those waiting in the "cattle call" waiting room, but made sure to get the office visit fee. I do not think that the staff went out of their way at any time. My husband had a shingles outbreak on his face, and the concern was they would damage his eyesight. Our regular ophthalmologist was not available, so we were referred to Dr. Jani. We spent more time with the technician than with the doctor, who said " I would normally shake your hand, but you know..." referring to the shingles outbreak as he quickly exited the exam room. I was outraged that someone in the health field would treat a patient this way. (and if you are so concerned about "catching' shingles you may want to invest in a better way of cleaning your equipment than with alcohol wipes used for injections. Thank goodness for our ophthalmologist in Culpeper, who actually showed some compassion and professionalism when we visited him two days later. Don't bother with your scripted responses - they are meaningless to us.

Went to Dr. Jhani after receiving new prescription glasses and my vision didn't improve. Was diagnosed with blepharitis. Prescribed antibiotics and eye drops. After a month vision was getting worse. Decided to see my PC p who did blood work and it was determined I have Graves' disease. My endocrinologist determined I have graves opthalmopathy. Dr. jhani did not take the time to lists to my concerns and after my second appt. I left in tears because I felt that he didn't care. I was prescribed medication that I didn't need and wasted money that I didn't have to waste. I've since seen a specialist dedicated to thyroid eye disease and feel that I have someone who care. I will never ever see Dr.Jhani and would never refer him to anyone else .

I was refered to Dr. Jani because my doctor was out of the office. I was able to get an appointment the day I called. However, subsequent care was not up to par. I saw him on Monday and called Tuesday with questions about the handout I received and the receptionist proceeded to tell me that I needed to use a warn compress and drops. Alerted by this, I assumed that she was reading from someone else's chart because Dr. Jani did not state that to me. I insisted that she had to be wrong and at that point she had his technician speak to me. His technician then stated that what I have is pvd and not to be concerned it is quite common. I asked her to fax Dr. Jani's assessment of me to see if he had indicated that in my chart. I received the medical record 4 days later. His notes conflicted with what she had told me and he indicated in my chart that he had discussed a plan of care for dry eyes none of which he stated to me. I was very alarmed and to date ( 1 week later) have not received a call from the staff or doctor regarding this misinformation and follow up to the correct diagnosis and correct plan of care.

I was at the office for 2 1/2 hours and the Dr. spent less than 5 minutes with me. He did not perform a full exam and seemed preoccupied with chatting up with his staff. Some of his staff were extremely kind and caring but others were more interested in the Dr. himself.
