Horrible experience with Dr Dworkin and his staff at Westchester Gastro, very poor communication and uncaring Physician caused me to prep and hold medications then refused to do the exam. Doctor didn’t even call to apologize for his incompetent staff. Worst experience of my life with a doctor and his staff.

The doctor had an excellent manner and was empathetic to my problem. Suggested I try new meds since over the counter wasn't working. On 2nd new med try I felt great relief. Have not had to go back. Problem has not returned.

Been sick for over a year. He's the first doctor ever suggested and gave me medical marijuana! OMG- it works better than anything!

I was referred by my doctor, who said he couldn't help me and I needed to see Dr Dworkin. I had to wait 2 months for an appointment, and it was worth it! I've had diarrhea for years, had 4 colonoscopies , and seen 3 other doctors. I was sure he would suggest another colonoscopy, but didn't! . He spent a full hour with me, reviewing everything, and put me on a medicine I never tried before! OMG- it worked!! He gave me my life back. I also gave it to my son, who suffered from the same problem, and it worked for him too! He's a miracle worker!

Turned out to be gallbladder in an unusual way of presenting since found after test, stone was stuck in duct. Extremely knowledgeable, explained everything so I understood. Highly recommend to friends and family

I was referred to him because my doctor didn't know what else to do for me! He said I'm sending you to the best doctor I know. Dr Dworkin immediately had new ideas. He was also incredibly nice- I knew right away he would help me...and he did! He diagnosed me with SIBO, and with medications, I am markedly better for the first time in years!

Was sent to him when my gastroenterolgist couldnt help me- and Dr Dworkin did!! He spent an hour with me, did tests no one else did, put me on new medicines, and now I can eat without vomting!! He is amazing!

i went to dr dworkin based on reviews and recommendations. first getting an apt was difficult because it was not done directly through the office. next i went to the dr for "very" specific gi issuues. dr dworkin loves tests and that is about it. however, the most annoying aspect was that every time i went to see dr dworkin he had no idea who i was. every visit started with a total review of my medical history. after three visits i said enough and went looking for another md.

had swallowing problems, he made right diagnosis after other doctors didnt, answered all my questions, sometimes before I even asked them! Spent almost an hour with me!

After giving brief description of my complaints, doctor than asked me quite a few questions.. which helped him rule out serious issues. I was given suggestions, & NON prescription meds to help improve symptoms. I made followup appointment, as suggested, after following suggestions/ directions. Followup appt confirmed I was correctly diagnosed & treated. My quality of daily issues has GREATLY improved.

i reached dr. dworkin after getting a virus. I had new problem i never had before. Stomach felt swollen & full even after not eating all day. I was extremely nauseous and at times big problems with gas. I went days without moving my bowels. I saw other doctors who said it was probably due to stress of school but after awhile it became impossible to attend classes due to abdominal pain at stuff above. Dr dworkin took my history which included having a recent virus. He ordered a gastric emptying study right away & diagnosed severe gastroporesis. He gave me treatment options available, explained all, gave time for me to research. He had his preferred choice & i tailored it to what i found acceptable with the highest comfort and function capability. I now attend college classes again, some days are better than others, but i did NOT need surgery and i am able to continue my hobby of extreme hiking. I owe it all to dr dworkin's (quick) & accurate diagnosis & treatment. EXREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE ON THE SUBJECT. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

presented with unusual symptoms, saw other doctors who didn't take me seriously. Dr. Dworkin did. Gave most likely dx & Ordered specific tests that led to correct diagnosis and treatment. Now syptom free with slight modifications to diet. Greatt manner, speaks with respect & clearly explains medical jargon. Highly recommend.

I've been going to Dr. Dworkin for about 20 years. He's a very good diagnostician and was instrumental in my getting hiatal hernia repair surgery (twice) that helped bring my asthma into remission, as there was a direct correlation between my acid reflux and the asthma.He is very caring, but it's VERY difficult to get in touch with his staff for a routine appointment, procedure scheduling (colonoscopy) or prescription renewal request. I invariably have to show up at his office in person to get these things taken care of!He can be a little annoying about renewing my acid reflux medication without my seeing him first, and pushes me constantly to have a colonoscopy,especially after I tell him that other medical issues have taken precedence in their urgency. I feel it should be at MY convenience and MY choice to have the procedure. I know Dr. Dworkin means well, but being pushy isn't going to make me have it done any faster! On the whole, though, I feel he is a competent G.I. doctor. Not sure I'd recommend him to friends though because of the above reasons.
