Dr. Brent Wyatt Hinkle, DO

I could not have asked for a better physician and would recommend Dr. Hinkle to anyone. He is very genuine, caring and down to earth and am glad I’ve chosen him as my primary care doctor.

Dr. Hinkle has been mine and my family's PCP for many years. We are very happy and will not change.

Dr. Hinkle is the PCP for myself and three other family members. We have not uncomplicated conditions but he remembers all the details and is so very accessible whenever he is needed. He has great staff, too. He listens, appears unhurried and listens to whatever you have to say. I recommend him most highly.

I couldn't be happier or feel more taken care of by any other doctor than, as I like to call him, Dr. Brent. He is always so pleasant, empathetic, and ready to listen. He has never in all the years I've gone to him made me feel unimportant or that my problems don't matter. I have to say the same for his staff too. Thank you, Dr. Brent and your staff!

Dr Hinkle has been my PCP since 2009. He is absolutely the best doctor I’ve had in my 53 years of life. He listens! He doesn’t rush you out the door. He takes whatever time you need. He’s very knowledgeable, compassionate, and empathetic. He doesn’t just push pills, but encourages healthy change and natural homeopathic remedies whenever it’s possible. He’s quick to send you to a specialist if your issue indicates it and/or is beyond his scope of practice, as a general practitioner. He’s got a great bedside manner and sense of humor (this is important to me). I recommend him to everyone looking for a PCP!

Dr Hinkle is the absolute best PCP. I’ve been his patient since 2009. I became his patient by default since he took over my former doctor’s patients. That was definitely a blessing. He’s always willing to listen no matter how much time it takes. He addresses all your concerns, and he’s conservative with pharmaceutical interventions. If his patients want to try holistic treatment he’s okay with it. He definitely doesn’t force meds on anyone. He lets patients be individuals, and have a say in their care. He’s got a great bedside manner. He calls and checks on his patients after a hospital admit, surgery, or urgent care visit. If he ever leaves UPC, I’ll follow him.

Dr. Hinkle didn't want to dose me up with meds to mask my issues. He actually took time to listen and dealt with the root problem. Highly recommend him every chance I get.

I've been under Dr Hinkle's care since he started in Claremore. My PCP resigned and Dr Hinkle took over his patients when joining the practice. I wasn't too keen on getting a new PCP, but I was pleasantly surprised. If I had the option of seeing my former PCP, I'd choose Hinkle. He's a terrific doctor. He does his best to cover all issues, but UPC policy states he can only address one issue per appointment. However, if all your issues can be covered in the allotted time, he'll address them. He doesn't like the rule, but follows it because he is their employee and had to agree to it when they took over the office He's a very kind, compassionate doctor. You can tell he loves his job. His patients are people not $ to him. He uses conservative treatment plans first. He's not a pill pusher. If you don't need meds, he doesn't give them. If your issue is beyond his scope of practice, he will refer you to a specialist. The only issues I have had are slow med refill requests. Office policy is it will take 48 -72 hours after your pharmacy request. I've had it take longer and had to call. Once I called I got an immediate response. The receptionists at the windows could be friendlier, but they are not Dr Hinkle's employees. They are employees of Utica Park Clinic. Getting in is pretty easy. Also, if you're an established patient, Dr Hinkle will handle some issues by phone. I love that because it saves time and money. I'd recommend Dr Hinkle to anyone in search of a primary care physician

Dr. Hinkle is a genuinely caring and compassionate person. He really takes time to listen and address your concerns. However, office policy states that your visit can only be for 1 issue. This kind of stinks. They say he doesn't have time to take care of note than one issue at a time. He will address more than 1 issue if they are minor a d not going to take too long. Otherwise he will tell you you have to make another appointment for the other issue, not his rule, but he does follow it. This policy went into effect when Utica Park Clinic/ Hillcrest took over the practice. You can't really fault him for their policy. He does whatever he feels necessary to provide the best care. He isn't a "pill pusher." If you don't need meds he won't give them. He is very thorough. One thing I particularly like is the fact that if you are an established patient and you basically no what's going on and have been treated for it before by him, then you can just call his MA and tell her and he,'all do his best to handle it over the phone. For instance, time for lood work, call let them know and your lab order will be ready to pick up at receptionist desk no appt needed. I have been a patient since he joined the practice. My mother and daughter use him as well.

A very knowledgeable and great Doctor

Dr Hinkle is very friendly, great beside manner, actively listens to patient concerns, and truly cares about his patients. The delivery of his medical care is very thorough, and he considers the whole picture, not just one symptom. Same day appointments, quick med refills, nurses respond quickly to messages left, and office staff are delightful.

Excellent Dr., listens to you, doesn't treat you like a number. Knowledgeable.
