Called to get a family member an appointment. The girl on the phone immediately had an attitude and seemed extremely put out by me before I even broached the subject of why I was calling. Great first experience...NOT. I won’t be using this doctor.

Knowledgeable, listens, challenges, supportive, and professional. Goes above and beyond to provide me with information in reguards to what im going through at the time. He calls you back promtly when he says he will! Always on time.

Dr. Menninger is brilliant and hilarious. His "bedside manner" is so unique that, upon first visit, it is wise to know that the man you are talking to has a very dry sense of humor. Give it a few sessions and his quirky brilliance will make you laugh until you cry while resonating on such a profound level. He is truly a genius and his credentials are unmatched! And no ... you are NOT his "craziest" patient. I am.

I was going through a health crisis and facing another very unwanted surgery in about 3 weeks. I was starting to panic, and I asked Dr. Menninger if there were more options for me (other than just taking medications all of the time). He didn't offer to provide therapy, refer me to a therapist, or even provide me a few names of offices to call. Instead, here was his response via email: "The easiest, quickest way to get into a therapist is to go through the EAP...Please consider that you have normal problems which are quite predictable given your circumstances...Normally, an EAP has a mandate to get you in within a week or so. So, again, how about checking into the EAP?" I called the EAP but, given my timeline, it wasn't really an option. The worst part was how hurt I felt given his lack of empathy when I was going through a tough situation.

Its not always about prescribing medication, doctor should be graded for the usefulness, one who would help a patient lead complete and full filling life, if that's what you are looking for then Dr Brent Menninger is THE doctor to visit

I like his note taking and active conversations. He also is good for listening and discussing issues. I never feel rushed in my appointments. He and his staff are friendly.

It has been a real pleasure to work with Dr. Menninger over this past year. My life is much better, and I am much happier. It is very easy to talk with Dr. Menninger, and he is very attentive to concerns. I felt that we worked together to find a combination and dose of medications that frankly has given me new outlook on life. All in all, it has been a wonderful experience.

Very professional. Very knowledgeable of medicines and what works best for the patient. Knows what questions to ask. Helped me transition to a more effective medicine and find the right dosage. As a result I am functioning much better.

I always feel welcome at this office, everyone always seems to be quite friendly while maintaining a good professional vibe. I like that Dr. Menninger treats me as a person rather than just a diagnosis and that he listens and responds in turn if I have any concerns or issues. My overall experience has been positive and I would recommend this practice as well as Dr. Menninger to others.

I have been seeing Dr. Menninger for a year now and he is by far the best Psychiatrist I have been to. He was able to correctly diagnose me and not only prescribe my medication but also provide non-pharmacologic treatments such as relaxation tips. Extremely professional, great listener, and courteous staff.

Dr. Menninger has been wonderful for many years. He calls me back promptly, especially when compared to other physicians. He even responds to my email's in a timely manner. I have ADHD and GAD. I think I am a difficult patient because I always act like I am "Ok", when I am clearly not. I really want to be more stable and Dr. Menninger sees that, so he never gives up. He has been supportive on all my wishes and ideas; me not wanting to take medication and trying alternative techniques to trying just about every type of medication while doing nothing else. If you really truly want to help yourself and you don't think a pill alone will be the solution Dr. Menninger is the right doctor and he will never give up on you.

MY overall experience with Dr. Menniger was unlike no other Doctor out there. I was going through the hardest time in my life and he nipped it in the bud, took care of me, and relieved my insomnia, panic attacks, and depression. I had to move to the South and I absolutely hated that I could no longer see him. I tried to do phone appointments but he really needed to see me and I understand completely. I have seen plenty of PDocs and none compare to him. He actually cares, is not mean, does not rush you, and has patiences for you. I thank him for improving my life. I was referred to this doctor through my therapist. I am suffering from depression and my previous dr. just kept changing meds over a 6 month period. Dr. Menninger had a plan for me and diagnosed my problem. Immdediatley he changed my meds and after a few weeks I am so much better. He has always returned phone calls within a few hours. Rather than give me more drugs for sleepless nights, he recognized I may have sleep apnea and I was able to take sleep studies and got the proper help. I am so grateful to this doctor. He REALLY CARES and wants his patients to feel better. I so pleased I found him to treat me!

totally missed my diagnosis had to go elsewhere for a Dr. to know it was a simple case of depression, he tried to make me into some psychotic loon

Dr. Menniger is quite prompt when it comes time for your appointment. That is his only positive. I have been stuck with him for almost 3 years now due to having an insurance most other dr.s do not accept. He is repeatedly rude, condescending, and has never spent extra time with me during an appointment even when I was not doing well. I have had only one appointment with him where I did not leave his office either furious or crying. I also do not feel that he listens well to what I am saying or the point/feelings that I am trying to explain. I would not recommend Dr. Menninger to anyone.

I suffer from severe depression, anxiety and ADD. Suicide was on the top of my list because nothing was helping me. I went from one Dr. to another and one hospital to another trying to find help but nothing was working for me. A friend referred me to Dr. Menninger years ago and he saved my life. I am now an important functional human in society. He got me on the right medications and on the right track. Many times he prints documents during my appointment that are so helpful with what I am going through at the time. He has refered me to web sites, books.... to help me heal. He truly cares about his patients! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Menninger to anybody who truly wants to feel better and get on with their life. My son is his patient as well. My daughter has gone into a adderall induced psychosis and has not held a job in years. I don't think the adderall and generic xanax he gives her treats her illness.

Dr. Mennigar really saved my life. I had seen so many other doctors and no one could seem to find the right meds and combinations for me. No one else seemed willing to hold me accountable and tell me like it was. Dr. Mennigar has done that and more. I recommend him to others almost weekly.
