For a first time visit to Dr. Gilmer I am very impressed. The whole Swift staff are very kind and make sure you leave with all the pertinent information you need. Not looking forward to surgery but glad this team will be the ones taking care of me.

Dr. Gilmer is an exceptional orthopedic surgeon, I highly recommend him. He is easy to talk to and took his time to explain all my options, and explained the surgery and expected outcomes. I had a partial knee replacement surgery 2/23/24 and with his great work and the amazing physical therapists at Swift I am doing great (I can’t stress enough to do your PT at home too!). I am back at the gym and almost back to doing everything I was doing prior to my meniscus root tear and surgery. Thank you Dr. Gilmer and the Swift PT team!

Very impressed with Dr. Gilmer, so happy I found him! He really listened and studied my scans and helped me understand what is going on. He came up with solutions other surgeons hadn’t in order to get me back to skiing like I was before my knee injury, and offered options to help delay my surgery until I’m absolutely ready.

Dr. Gilmer clearly explains the surgical procedures and the recovery aspects. He gave me his cell # for post surgery questions. I did have a couple and he answered right away. He is professional, knowledgeable and personable. It doesn’t get any better!

Dr Gilmer is extremely professional, friendly, likable, and very knowledgeable. His advice considers the entire patient and not just a surgical procedure. He actually listened to me and made eye contact. He was not rushed. He explained the alternatives and pros and cons of the treatment options. I feel very comfortable with him and I know he will do the best he can for me. Unlike other Ortho docs who just want to crank out surgeries.

Dr Gilmer is always very nice, he listens and cares. He has great bedside manners and does not just push you through as fast as he can. He takes the time with each patient and is wonderful!

Dr. Gilmer discerned more information from the imaging than the radiologist and a previous doctor. Thanks to him I will be able to have a thorough ACL PCL repair. I went to him for his positive reputation, ability, and experience. I was pleasantly surprised that he has a great bedside manner as well.

Dr. Gilmer was referred to me by a colleague of mine. I had planned to have surgery at ROC but decided to meet Dr. Gilmer for a second opinion. He was very courteous and explained my biology and structure of my knee based on an MRI and X-rays that I had taken at ROC the week prior. He was extremely informative and had superior bedside manner. I ended up moving my surgery to the Swift Institute to have Dr. Gilmer perform a Tibial Tubercle Osteotomy as well as an MPFL replacement to correct the Mal-Tracking in my left knee joint to prevent further dislocations. He did a superb job in surgery and was very reassuring in pre-op. I am currently 7 weeks out and had a concern after a Physical Therapy session this week. He brought me into his office the very same day, despite having a full schedule, to examine my knee and incisions himself. He again was very thorough, reassuring and informative and did not even charge me for the visit; I could not be happier with Dr. Gilmer and The Swift Institute. As my condition is bi-lateral I will require the same procedures on my right knee as well and will, with out a doubt, be going to Dr. Gilmer for that surgery as well. 10/10 would recommend Dr. Gilmer and The Swift Institute.

I walked into Mammoth Hospital with a broken shoulder after falling off my bicycle! Never broke a bone before! He was highly rated and did surgery within a couple hours! He assessed the situation and he put in a plate and 11 screws. I left Mammoth the next day not in much pain and confident that Dr Gilmer did a superb job! He is confident, professional and knows how to take great care of his patients! I’m impressed and have a great new doctor who will help me through this healing process! I’d recommend him to anyone!!! Saved my butt (shoulder!)
