Dr. Guffin is an excellent doctor. I would not hesitate to go back to see him again. He really cares about his patients.

I had to have my colon completely removed . Dr. Guffin was a life saver. I have had to have many parastomal hernias repaired. When Dr. guffin got to the point where he could no longer help me, he researched and found me another surgeon that he felt could. He had my best interests in mind, no ego or prideful actions on his part. A man of god, had prayer with me several times. A superior surgeon, wonderful man, @ a christian friend .

Dr. Guffin is the most professional and caring Doctor that I have ever had the privilege of seeing.

Dr Guffin is one of the best doctors in the WORLD that is the only way I can describe him. Plus the staff he use in Gardale are very profession and nice.

Dr. Guffin saved my life and is the best in his field. Would give 10 *'s if it would let me. I had severe colon rectal cancer and he did my surgery. I am now cancer free because of him and his knowledge and complete understanding. I highly recommend him. The wait is most definitely worth it i promise. God bless you Dr. Guffin.

excellent experience. i rated the ease of appointment a two star for he seems to have limited availability for the post-op appointment depending on the location. It's not like i can just come in anyday of the week, but as a busy CR surgeon, i understand this. otherwise 4 star across the board

I have been a patient of Dr.Guffinfor a number of years as has other members of my family. I rate him low on ease of appointment and promptness because I suppose others think of him like I do and he is usually over booked and over worked. I only give him 2 stars. I hate having to wait, I hate being called and then having to sit in the back room another 20 mins before I am seen. I consider my time just as important as his. His bedside manner rates 5. He is courteous, he listens, he has high surgical skills and I feel that I can put myself in his hands and know that he is looking out for my best interests. I trust him which is why I put up with the waiting at his office and I believe trust is what we all want in a Doctor.

I would like to say Dr. Guffin is a likable doctor. However HIS STAFF is NOT. They are rude & unfriendly which can turn patients off. Dr. Guffin suggested to me that I needed surgery & I agreed with him because its been an ongoing issues and have seen other GI doctors in the past regarding the issue and they all say the same. However, there are forms that needs to be complete for my employer for me to be off work and I was told will need to pay the nurse $30 before they will complete them. I told them the doctor is suggesting the procedure and I don't see why I should have to pay to have forms filled out. I could see if I needed papers filled out for disability reason or other personal use for other reason but for the Nurse or Doctor to charge a person $30 to fill out forms to say what type of procedure will be done and how long they will be expected off work or return back to work is totally outrageous and ridiculous. I'm taking my business elsewhere.

He found a growth in my rectum was removed in 2008. later in 2013 I have had to have surgery again for a blockage in my stomach. Wish he could have done this one too. He has been a good doctor.

Last year after he performed my colonscopy and I was still in the recovery room Dr. Guffin came to me as said it was cancer. I was only 59 years old and I have a 11 year old granddaughter to raise. My first thought was "I'm going to die", but after Dr Guffin took my hand and told me he would take care of me I believed him with all my heart. He is the kind of person you feel like you have known all your life. Also one of the kindness and most compassionate Doctor I have even seen. It has been one year now and I am cancer free. HE IS A WONDERFUL DOCTOR AND I RECOMMEND HIM 100 PERCENT

I made an appointment with Dr. Guffin, and after waiting more than an hour, his incredibly rude front desk person told me there were 2 more people in front of me. She also mentioned that everyday is like this.I'll cancelled my appointment and will NEVER go here again.

Would recommend everybody I know to Dr. Guffin. He takes care of you as soon as possible. Returns phone calls. Listens to you when your hurting and takes care of it. Keeps you comfortable after surgery. Lays everything out on the table. When he leaves the room you are not wondering whats going to happen next, you know.

Everything Dr. Guffin told me would happen, happened. He didnt miss a thing. I have had no trouble at all since my surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Guffin.

Dr. Guffin was very thorough in my diagnosis and got my problem taken care of within a few days of my appt. with minor outpatient surgery.

Dr. Guffin is such a caring Doctor. He explains exactly what to expect good and bad, to prepare you as much as possible.He is very busy, so the wait time is usually very long in the office. But, it's worth it, because he is the BEST.
